He snapped his fingers and the woman walked past me. I gave her a pleading look not to leave me alone, But she only looked at me with pity and left.

Zero climbed onto the bed and crawled as he hovered over me. “Because I'm afraid that I can't control the monster inside me,” he replied, and I closed my eyes when his warm breath touched the skin on my face. “And this monster,” he continued. She squeezed a bit. "Oh," she said. "Mmhm." She smiled. "Maybe the monster has something to eat when it wakes up." My smile stretched wider as sized her up with my eyes. “Then don't keep it starving.”
