The moon hung low outside the tall arched windows, it’s pale glow spilling like liquid silver across the polished floor. The air was still, save for the faint whisper or rain against the glass. Laura sat at the edge of the bed she now shared with Damian, the silken folds of her nightdress pooling around her like soft moonlight. Winona flips the book around, and unto its back, she reads the words, the gist, and the very core of the novel that they are living and probably someone is reading along, as it goes like this with the words. “WAKE UP, DANIELA!” Having the chills, yet her heart beats an excitement from the name that pops and takes her utmost interest from. She slowly lay her back comfortably onto Leo’s fur, as she continues to read.

All of this was too much for someone like her—too far from the simple life she had always known. While Luna was amazed by the luxurious of the room, Donna and Nick were still standing in the doorway. "Listen, Nick. Luna is still too young, she probably doesn't know much about it yet," she said casually, half whispering. “So I have prepared something for her over there.” Donna's hand rose, pointing to a thin brown-covered book lying neatly on the bed. Nick's eyes followed her finger. His gaze fell on the book just as Luna stepped closer and picked it up.

I could see he was both shocked and concerned. “I'm fine,” I murmured, even though I wasn't certain. “Just a bad dream, I guess. But this…” I raised my hands, where the last bits of blue light were disappearing. “I have no idea what this is.” Before Xander could respond, Lily entered, holding a big, leather-covered book. The book had the smell of old paper and magic. “I felt a disturbance,” lily said, her eyes darting between Xander and me. “And then I was drawn to this book in the library. I think… I think it might have answers about the awakening.”

The next morning, she joined Loretta in the garden. Luna was pruning roses, her gentle hands moving as though she had done this her entire life. At night, I sleep in the cave with those creatures. When I felt tired, I entered the cave. It surprised me when something lit up at the very end of the cave, so I went there out of curiosity. When I got to the end, an exquisite woman appeared. Her back was facing me, so I approached her slowly. By the looks of it, she looks like a goddess. "Who are you? And how did you get into my cave?" It surprised me when she spoke. She turned around to face me. "Ah, my name is Luna. I read about this forest in a book, and while I was walking around, I saw this cave. I'm sorry if I disturbed you..." I said, even though she can't hear me. She gasped and stared at me.

Emily The morning sun streams in through my bedroom window, signalling the fateful day has arrived. Today I leave behind my old life for a new future as Luna of Red Creed Pack. More importantly, today marks the first step toward achieving my long-awaited revenge. By this time tomorrow, I'll be far from the grasp of Dorian and Lily. Too far for them to continue hounding my steps. A knock sounds at the door before my mother enters, her smile tinged with melancholy. "Good morning, my darling. I begin to stand up and grab the smaller hamper when Lorie begins to speak. "Um.. Layla?" She says hesitantly. "Yes." I reply back gently. "Can we read a book tonight?" She asks with pleading eyes. "Sure!" I reply. "What did you have in mind?" I ask as I approach the side of her bed. Slowly Lorie pulls a book out from under her pillow and hands it to me as I sit down on the bed next to her. The book is a mild chapter book and the label reads "Hank the Cowdog".
