The sound of the bedroom door opening jolted me out of sleep. My eyes popped open, my heart racing, and it took a moment for the room to come into focus.
Cyra stood by the door, looking at me, and I wondered what she wanted. It felt as if I had just closed my eyes. Or was I not supposed to have gone to bed before the party ended?
"Good morning, Luna," she said quietly, and I pushed myself up on my elbows. "Good morning," I replied in a rough tone, still blinking. "What time is it?" I asked, but looked at the bedside clock before Cyra could respond.
