A Passage From A Book Novels & Stories

I found a book, called 'last time' I opened the book to a random page, somewhere in the middle and proceeded to read the first paragraph 'Jodie knew that Darren would look for her, even as she hid from him, she was crying quietly now, she was scared he would find her, she needed to escape but for some reason she couldn't blink, maybe it was the tears, maybe Darren drugged her, who knew, she soon heard footsteps, she covered her mouth so Darren could not hear her, she pleaded, in her mind, with the gods to save her' I closed the book, it seemed interesting, I carried the book to a comfortable looking green recliner, I sat down in the chair with my legs crossed underneath me, I opened the book

“I, um, I was wondering if you could find the passage in that book that I had asked about?” “Are you referring to the passage on page three?” He quips. “Um, no, actually, I’m pretty sure it’s on page six-hundred and forty-one.” I gulp, feeling tears prick my eyes. “Maybe it’s in a different book?” Pan pauses. “M-Mrs. Mason, I’m sure it must be in the same book. I will look it up for you. H-how about I bring the book to your home and we can look at it together? I can be there in an hour.”

Libro Vitae whispered its voice harmonious. "Libro Vitae, please show me where Alastair is hiding," I asked. The book hummed in response. Libro Vitae became warm in my hands. The cover opened, pages flipped continuously until they suddenly stopped. The words on the page jumped off the paper, floating into the air, wrapping themselves around me. In a blink of an eye, I was pulled into the book. Light flooded my vision. Every sound echoed around me. Voices raced past me, speaking in riddles. Some shouting, screaming, others a dull whisper. Libro Vitae's voice became louder as I watched the trees form around me.

At some point of life,a person feels abandoned by the people they expect will be giving them some importance. And I am just pulling out this topic in my head because it's a line written in this book that's being crushed under the pressure of my nails. It is NOT at all relevant! Yet anger pulses through my veins like the stitches of a fabric. And my eyes dig imaginary holes into the poor page of the book that became my target the moment I entered the library. Poor one was sitting in peace under the warmth of the shelf.

I opened the book, the pages releasing a faint, musty scent as they turned. As I flipped through the pages, my fingers lightly traced the intricate runes etched into the parchment. Each symbol seemed to pulse faintly beneath my touch, as if responding to my presence. The further I delved into the book, the stronger the sensation grew—a peculiar warmth spreading from my fingertips, curling up my arms and settling deep within my chest.

The library was quiet, the afternoon sunlight filtering through the stained-glass windows. Anna sat alone at the far corner, the mysterious book, The Reflection Game, spread open before her. Her finger traced the intricate designs on the yellowed pages, her heart pounding with both excitement and unease. The cryptic instructions whispered to her, their meaning elusive but tantalizingly close. She didn’t understand why she felt so drawn to the book, but she couldn’t let it go. It was as if the book had chosen her, as if it were calling her to uncover its secrets.

My voice is soft, and I watch as she reaches for a book, handing it to me. A smile tugs at my lips when I see it. Sick For Them. The same book I’m currently reading. I know the perfect passage. Flipping through the pages, I find the scene I want. Sure, it’s a little later than she might expect, but that’s fine. I want to see her reaction to this part.

Remember it’s an illusion.” As Valerie said, they walked into stones and pebbles but they passed through it all like ghosts when they finally came to see a book embedded in the dark. “Where the hell did it come from?!” It had appeared in a matter of seconds. One moment they had blinked and the other moment the book was there. Va;erie scoffed out a laugh, “It was probably already there but our illusions made it hard for us to see it.”
