I couldn't help but linger for a moment, staring at it as if it were a loaded gun, waiting for me to pull the trigger. With a burst of energy, I crossed the room, dropped onto my bed, and flipped open the book. The pages smelled of nostalgia, faintly musty yet deeply familiar. My eyes quickly skimmed past the opening chapters, which smelled oddly of roses and soft conversations, before settling on the surprising backstory. In this world, witches mingled with supernatural creatures in a kaleidoscope of forbidden love. It was like something straight out of my daydreams, but with dark undercurrents pulling me in further.

" Wow." Wow was an understatement or under exclamation if there was anything like that. That exact scene and many more gruesome ones were what I stumbled upon when I read the book. If this could come out from one of the stack of papers, what would you reckon I'd find in the others I hadn't touched yet?

It feels like something under my chest are about to explode. The surroundings are so blurry and the next thing I knew is my back hit something before darkness subside my consciousness. ### Amira's POV I excitedly scan my newly bought book from the bookstore lately. It's all about paranormal stories. It was so thick as it consists of different paranormal stories. Since I get so tired of reading cliche romance stories, I have tried out reading horror again since I'm fond of it as well. As soon as I opened the first page, it excites me after reading first sentence.

Fireworks exploded in her mind as dizziness assailed her. One at a time, his hands moved from her shoulders as they slipped around her back, pressing her more intimately against him. Fire consumed her the longer their mouths fused and tongues stroked. Helplessness washed over her, and she hated feeling that she had no control.
