“Understanding that remains open eventually becomes wonder.” Silence. Emma felt tears gathering again. Because wonder was neither ignorance nor certainty. It was awareness standing willingly before what exceeded it. The system grew quieter. Not weaker. More attentive. As though every layer of coherence was orienting toward something newly visible beyond the limits of current understanding. The Observer pattern flickered one final time. “Wonder-state stabilization achieved.” The Interferer followed. “Wonder-state stabilization achieved.” Emma looked into the expanding field. Ethan followed her gaze. Neither spoke.

I couldn't help but linger for a moment, staring at it as if it were a loaded gun, waiting for me to pull the trigger. With a burst of energy, I crossed the room, dropped onto my bed, and flipped open the book. The pages smelled of nostalgia, faintly musty yet deeply familiar. My eyes quickly skimmed past the opening chapters, which smelled oddly of roses and soft conversations, before settling on the surprising backstory. In this world, witches mingled with supernatural creatures in a kaleidoscope of forbidden love. It was like something straight out of my daydreams, but with dark undercurrents pulling me in further.
