A Scene In A Play Novels & Stories

A part of me did it to piss Xavier for sure but the other part just wanted to fulfill my dream of watching Romeo and Juliet live with my husband. I'm kidding. I did it all to piss Xavier. Xavier keeps his eyes shut as the drama progresses into the balcony scene. The girl playing Juliet stands at the top. Her eyes wander dreamily about her lover as he enters the garden. I stare fixedly at the stage, their acting pulling me into the drama I already know the ending of. Xavier lets out an exasperated breath and I turn to him. His eyes are open again and even though he pretends to be bored, I know that he is enjoying the show too. The actors are too good to not demand attention.

I rolled my eyes at him as Amelia and I hopped on the stage and we heard Ronan saying to Zane. "You are out of luck in this play, brother. Since you are going to die without reuniting with the love of your life," he said in an amusing voice. "You wrote that on purpose, didn't you?" Zane muttered dryly and then looked at Amelia who was smiling bashfully. Ronan just snickered as a result and explained every one their scene and roles except for me. I was just standing in the middle of the stage idly with nothing to do so I asked Ronan, "Why am I standing here? What am I supposed to do?" I whisper yelled at him.

He wore clothes that were similar to Fredrick's. What the hell is this, Fredrick...? The play had begun with the introduction of characters. The female lead was Elisa and the male lead Cassian. The first scene of the play showed Elisa crying. When the male lead wished to be of help to her... The scene changed. The second scene showed Elisa begging her mother to help her while she was alone dealing with a fever. The male lead reaches into help and the scene changes once again. The third scene showed Elisa and Cassian alone in a white space. Elisa was on the floor with blood dripping off of her.

Stagehands were hauling heavy set pieces into place, the faux-marble pillars of my character’s mansion, the wrought-iron gates that represented her prison. I took my place in the wings, my heart hammering. I tried to go over my lines, but Jaxson’s accusations kept interjecting. You’d rather have a thousand strangers clap for you than stay in one bed with me. "Places!" the director shouted from the center of the dark house.

The scene is to be done on a rainy night but we would just act the lines for the rehearsals until the main play where the props and lighting would be utilized.
