They've been quite loud lately. I sighed and tossed the book I've been trying to ride aside. I stared at the same paragraph for five minutes and I still couldn't make out what I was reading. I didn't want to read today, I wanted to walk around. But I couldn't. So I had to find something else to do. I walked over to the large window and gazed down at the pack, going about their lives. This has become part of my daily routine. From this vantage point, I could observe the world below. Although the faces were blurred from such a height, I could still make out the figures of individuals.

Chapter 14 Lena's POV I'd been visiting the library every day. It had become the one part of my routine I looked forward to without complication — no performance required, no careful navigation of atmosphere or intention. Just shelves and light and the particular silence that exists only in rooms full of books. I had a corner I'd claimed without declaring it — the window seat at the far end, where afternoon light came in at an angle that was perfect for reading and the view outside was just garden and sky, no walls visible from that position if you sat exactly right.

Like what I'm expecting no one is inside. I pick some random books and groove to the very corner of this Library room. I opened the window, as I look outside the thickness of the cloud was having a sign of a heavy rain. I completely feel refreshed, thid cold breeze from outside. Having a peace colded room, no one is bugging to you. THIS kind of peace is every intellectual person's dream. ""What are you doing, why are you having a tingle eyes. Are you masturbatoring or something to that corner?""

It started with the window. I did not notice it the first morning. I was half asleep, reaching for my dress, moving through the early routine the way I always did. But when I sat at my desk to read the window was open. Just slightly. Just enough to let the morning air in at the angle that hit the desk directly. I always worked better with fresh air. Adrian's POV The morning light streamed gently through our bedroom window, soft and golden, as if the world itself understood the significance of this day. I woke with a calm heaviness in my chest, the kind that comes when something monumental is about to happen. For years, I had poured myself into stories, filling pages with bits of my heart and fragments of my soul. Today marked the culmination of all of it, the moment when my words would be bound together into a single, final book, my life’s work, in every sense.

NIGHT WAS SLOWLY FADING AWAY. The stars seemed to dim with the break of daylight that was slowly and calmly coming in. I stood gazing out the window in a state of utter apprehension struggling to fathom the very path that had led my life to this bleak dead end. The small wooden brown window with thin glass shatters, the place that had now become a permanent spot for me to sit and ruminate on things; ruminating on my entire existence on this Earth brought me some form of closure and comfort. It eased my internal pain and I felt everything was going to be just okay. The window that had bore witness to my bleak and sad life also bore my happiest moments.

I decide to take a page out of my old playbook and deflect instead. “I'll need the phone now if you don't mind, I need to make a call," I say striding over to the massive full-length window in the room. I pick up a book I placed on the comfy bare back chair in front of the window, take a seat and start reading.

The afternoon was the perfect time for me to snuggle in the library with a good book. That's where I was headed as I opened the heavy wooden back door. Nola had told me about a quicker way through the back door to the library and I was looking forward to trying it out. Clutching my mug I walked down the hallway and found the back stairwell Nola had described with a dragon stain glass window. I admired it for a moment before continuing up the stairs.

I pressed my fingers on the floor, supporting myself to get up. In seconds, I was up. I looked around, and there was only one way to leave here. The window. I chuckled. A sad sound. Because there was no way I would fit in through the window. Unless… My eyes looked around… The baseball bat. I rushed to it. Picking it up, the bat connected with the glass. Shattering it.
