m. As I stepped into the garden, my breath hitched. The air was thick with crisp pine and dark spices; it was so intoxicating that my wolf howled in satisfaction. I moved faster, searching for him, and suddenly, I saw a shadow standing in the middle of the garden, his hands tucked in his pockets, but his back was turned against me. “Mate!” My wolf howled excitedly, but I stopped in my tracks, my heart pounding loudly in my chest. Who is this? Who was my mate, and why did his posture, his physique, look so familiar?

Sharper. All heads turned. And then—they arrived. Ten wolves in gray armor. My friend hadn’t let me down. They crashed into the rogues like a wave. The battle shifted. We pressed forward again. Rosa’s POV I caught Hark’s scent before I saw him. He stepped into the clearing. Alone. Tall. Smiling. “You brought outsiders?” he mocked. “I brought justice.” He charged. We met in the middle. Fury and history in every strike. Claws clashed. Old scars ripped open again.

The main door was halfway open, and somehow she must have made her way in through the main gate which was supposed to be guarded by two strong wolves, Baine and Cole. It was no other than Jake and Barbara, one of the omega wolves that had her bedroom door on Jake and Melody

What were you doing with her.” The garden went quiet in the specific way of the immediate space around us, people close enough to have heard, the listening quality that wolves had when something in the air required their attention. I blindly felt the ground and almost cried in triumph when my hand closed around a jagged piece of wood from the broken bench. With all the strength I could muster, i drove the sharp edge into Breve’s side and he fell off me. Without stopping to think or assess the damage I had done, I quickly opened and slipped through the gate as quietly as I could trying my best to subdue my ragged breathing. At the farthest side of the garden was a deranged-looking he-wolf holding a teary girl with a dagger pressed to her neck.
