“I want to walk into a room without people looking at me with pity. I want to be able to run if I need to, or just go somewhere without planning every step. I’m tired of feeling limited, Aaron. I want my life back.” Aaron stayed quiet for a moment, matching my slow pace. His hand brushed against mine once, but he didn’t hold it. “You will get there,” he said. “I believe that. You’ve already come so far from where you were when you first came here. The doctors said it would take time, but you’re pushing harder than they expected. I’m proud of you.”

"I'm sure Era doesn't feel that way, Alpha. Didn't she thank you for all the protection you gave her the other day?” Emotion makes Oscar want to argue, but a bit of common sense that remains in him actually agrees with Aaron's words. It's clear that he still remembers, and that's what Aaron is using. "Era just needs time, Alpha. So, the only thing you can do is be patient." "Patient?" Oscar looked at Aaron with an annoyed look, accompanied by a sigh. "I'm not on this world to be patient." Aaron tried to stifle a mischievous smile. "Of course not, and that's why I think you and Era are a good match. Era is here to teach you the meaning of patience."

Aaron tried to convince himself that he didn't enjoy her company, at most her body, but he failed. He didn't need to think much about his anxiety, as the cell phone vibrated and the man had something to occupy himself with. "Aaron Granger" There was a brief silence on the other end of the line. Aaron, who had already exhausted his patience quota, took a deep breath. He couldn't handle bantering before he exploded, so he decided to look at the handle. His name on the screen made Aaron's heart race, even though he didn't understand the reaction. For someone always in control, Granger was being too expressive.

“ She is the coolest . I love her. It’s a small world after all. Ari is my niece. “ “ I should have taken the plane with you. Aaron is a lucky man . Why did he leave you ?” “ How do you know?” “ His temper is volatile. My brother managed to c him. He let him go after word came out about his past. He was pretty bleak .” Our food came and we started eating . “ You still don’t eat pork?” “ yeah my throat swells up. Just like you I am intolerant. “ I took a sip of my mango juice . “Aaron lost it. “ “what?” “ I am ignoring him . “ “ Give him time; he means well.”

Ethan playfully bumped her, taking his hands out of his pockets and raising them in sarcastic surrender. --- Aria and Killian stood at the kitchen cupboard, having light-hearted conversations and making sandwiches with whatever was found. Aria remarked as she slathered peanut butter on the last piece of toast, "You have always been more patient with me than I probably deserve." "Killian replied, "Patience comes readily when you trust the person you're opening up to." He watches Aria as she carefully smooths peanut butter on her piece of bread, and she notices. “You seriously judge my peanut butter spreading technique?” Aria asked, raising a brow.

And boy have you gotten yourself into some sort of shit since then.”

What I couldn't understand was Aaron's behaviour towards me. He'd been immune to everything on the outside. Fear, teasing, tantrums, the lot. It didn't matter what happened he always stayed the same, brooding yet dependable. If something bothered him, he’d make a scene, do some yelling and then it was done. Forgotten. But this time? "Why's he making you do this?" I asked my only companion. We were huddled in the far corner of Aaron's new room, the other celebrating guests refusing to come near us.

Rex muttered to his human who was trying to engross himself with work, not wanting to think about Aana. "So what? It's not that she will be waiting for us for dinner" Aaron scoffed and opened another file. He started ignoring Aana from yesterday as he was weary of getting ignored by her. He hates it when she ignores him. He hates when she shows him that his presence didn't affect her. He is tired of trying on this bond. After a few hours, Aaron closed his laptop, getting frustrated. He was trying his best to work but his thoughts kept revolving around her and all the time, Rex was insisting him to go home as Aana is alone at home.

Chapter 20 (Aron's POV) I was sitting in the living room of Becky's house repeating a mantra that was supposed to calm down my frayed nerves. It didn't help, damn it! Be patient. Be patient. She will come home soon. You can talk to her then. Be patient. I AM NOT A PATIENT MAN! Sure I can be patient when it comes to work. But even then I am fighting with everything in me and am always a few steps ahead. That's why I always get what I want.

He growled and looked back at the turtles. Aaron consistently had a propensity for running every morning. Not only for the health benefits, however, to keep his head clear. His psyche hustled, attempting to ponder how to deal with her when he got back to the house. It wasn't so much that she would just rest and didn't ask him anything. She isn't that past Kathy who will be devoted to her as she said to him the hundredth times and he was all prepared to hear this dialogue again yet presently contemplating how to tie her up with him is the main thing he needed to consider now.
