She went to Abigail first.
Abigail was bent over a metal bucket, washing herb-stained cloth. Her movements were quiet, rhythmic—peaceful. But the moment she looked up, her eyes changed.
“You’re going back,” Abigail said softly.
Sky nodded.
“And you’re coming with me.”
Abigail didn’t ask questions. She set the cloth aside, wiped her hands on canvas, and said only:
“Tell me when we leave.”
