How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

I’m not sure what I expected to happen, but I had an overwhelming urge to not change anything unless I knew it would provide some kind of benefit in the future. There are certain time travel stories that suggest events are fixed. That whatever a time traveller does, in the past or the future, they’ve in effect already done it. The way things are, is the result of those actions; going back to change something makes no difference since you already went back and this is how it turned out. In fact, because you went back, this is how it turned out.

“The general had been looking for someone all the years of his life from the time his father died. A time traveller, some one who has the abilities to time travel through back in time to see the past and view the future and possibly change the future.” she said. “Why does your general look for the time traveler?” I asked. “Because only the time traveler has multi abilities to make things happen. The stories of the only one time Time traveler that was told among us made us quake with fear of the time traveler and we fear any kind among us who possess

I have to play it off cool, of course. "Joke's on you because I wasn't trying that time", she shakes her head like a kindergartner who thinks they won the argument. "The plan is for the travelers to go back to 2020 and stop this", I gesture to the world around us, "from happening". "Hey", she sounds more serious, "If I know anything about time travel, I know that changing any event can impact the entire world as we know it", she looks up earnestly. "Yeah", I shrug, "that's the whole point". Duh.

My Time-Traveling Savior

My Time-Traveling Savior

She asked cheerfully. "Evan Lynch." Over the next few days, Hannah and I actively tried to figure out the rules of this time-space distortion phenomenon. But the more we investigated, the more confused we became. Sometimes, something placed in one spot would disappear the next second, but if we put something in the exact same place again, nothing would happen. This time-space distortion seemed completely random. It appeared without warning, and the size of the objects it transferred was random too. But there were still some patterns.

Time Beyond A Dream

Time Beyond A Dream

Nathan trailed off. “The weird thing about your mind time traveling or your dream consciousness was the limits. You can go forwards as far as you want, but backward only works as far as the present day, or the time you left. Traveling back from “now” was impossible as if the continuum was chopped right off — like we are sitting on a moving dot and can only “bungee jump” forwards and backward back and forth. “What!? No, no. You mean if we travel back now there is a possibility that the battle was finished?”

' I continued my turmoil inside, hugging my own body. I hadn't explained to Cassian what would happen to him in the future because I feared a paradox. Until now, the idea of traveling back in time had never crossed my mind. What I understood was that manipulating time had significant side effects. Apart from paradoxes, the possibility of not being able to return to the actual time would often occur.

Esmerelda Sleuth: The Other Side of the Mirror (Book 1)

So, I patiently waited while he walked over to the window and stared out of it for a moment before giving me his explanation as to why he needed me. It was nothing like what I’d expected. “I spoke to you and Nora about the fact that magic was real, but has been oppressed over time until it is now believed to be a myth. What I didn’t get into was the fact that there are multiple dimensions of time. These dimensions operate both independently and simultaneously. Someone with the knowledge and skills can travel these dimensions.” “Are you talking about time travel?” I asked with both disbelieve and interest. He nodded. The look on my face was all that he neede

Turning Back Time to Save You

Turning Back Time to Save You

" My eyes flew open to see Sophia standing before me, still alive and breathing. She was wearing an elegant long dress and had her hair pulled up in a high ponytail, radiating youthful energy. Even so, her eyes were unable to hide their contempt. The Sophia from my future was mature, cold, and unapproachable, but this version of her was bright and spirited, still carrying a touch of liveliness. A lump formed in my throat when I laid my eyes on her. The time machine had indeed brought me back to the past, but unfortunately, it seemed to have malfunctioned. Instead of returning to when we first met, I had arrived thirteen years in the past, on the day Sophia and I were about to be married. Tha

Voodoo Queens of New Orleans

Voodoo Queens of New Orleans

"How do you know that?" "Lisa, you traveled back in time already," Kizzy began to explain to me. "Your future self, whether it be a month or a year or five to ten years from now, traveled back to the 19th century. You haven't done it yet, but your future self has. The reason tempus summatum is so dangerous is because you are removing yourself from points in time and manipulating the past where you are going to. It isn't like the conventional type of time travel where, if you were to travel back to the 19th century at this very moment, you would see yourself writing rituals with Marie Laveau. No, you aren't there in the past anymore. Your body is breaking itself down and surrendering itself t

The Secretly Rich Man

The Secretly Rich Man

“That’s reassuring to hear… After all, I bought Mountain Top Villa under the identity of Mr. Crawford. In other words, even if I buy it a little earlier after going back in time, it shouldn’t really matter as long as I use the same alias when buying it, correct?” “That should be the case, yes. Speaking of which, there are two others things you need to know about time travel… Since you returning to the past isn’t something natural, there’s a high chance that your presence there will cause spatial and temporal anomalies… In other words, there’s a very likely chance that incidents in the past won’t end up happening in the order you remember them. With that said,

It's a good book as far as I have read so far. I'm getting discouraged, though. I'm running out of patience and time for these types of stories. "Neverending" stories where some chapters repeat themselves for some reason or other drives me bunkers. Just saying. I prefer shorter stories.
