The pack grounds were waking slowly, warriors jogging, omegas carrying laundry, children chasing one another between cabins.
Adrian led her away from the main paths, toward a low building tucked near the training fields. Inside, the scent of polished wood and old parchment enveloped her.
A library.
Her breath caught.
Shelves stretched across the walls, lined with scrolls, leather-bound journals, maps, even ancient tomes with cracked spines. Sunlight filtered through high windows, leaving soft golden patches on the floor.
“I thought…” Samantha’s voice wavered. “I didn’t know wolf packs kept places like this.”
