The movie was about a family who unknowingly moved in at a haunted house near the woods. The story became intense as the kids in the family started acting possessed one by one, leaving their guardians to solve the problem.

Well, one day the family thought it would be a good idea to visit the movies for my own good. I wasn't involved in the decision making, it was a last minute thing and I didn't really have a choice so I had to roll with it.

August told a long meandering story that ended with some of his friends almost accidentally getting arrested for armed robbery that still managed to be hilarious. Then we went to the living room and things changed. We watched the first movie, which was kind of an action/thriller and we all enjoyed it. Then took a quick break. It was early so we all agreed we could watch another one. I went to make popcorn while Mom and Dad chose a new film and August made cocoa for everyone. It was literally an ideally wholesome family scene. Until a stupid, selfish little girl ruined everything.

Family movie night, family game night, eating dinner together every night and building fake ass conversations—it was all lovely, and nothing is wrong with this. Families who do stuff like this stay together are great, and I aspire to do it with my own family sometime in the future.
