I barely keep my phone from slipping out of my fingers and turn to look at alpha Aiden. “I… am working. I am done halfway, so I came to take a breather,” I say with a forced smile. I am not nearly done halfway, but he doesn’t need to know that. His face scrunches into a frown. “What are you working on?” “Accounts of various members and clients who work for and with alpha Azriel,” I murmur. What I don’t tell him is that some of their accounts look fishy. “Ah? Really? But–”

At her normal pace, she walked ahead towards her class. "Let's not delay our lesson, let's proceed with the introduction. Accounting is the process of recording financial transactions pertaining to a business. The accounting process includes summarizing, analyzing, and reporting these transactions to oversight agencies, regulators, and tax collection entities. The financial statements used in accounting are a concise summary of financial transactions over an accounting period, summarizing a company's operations, financial position, and cash flows." Catherine spoke in a clear and confident manner while explaining to her class. Engrossed with what she was doing, she became oblivious to her sur

Over two decades of quarterly payments to a numbered account with no name attached. I actually laughed out loud. The sound bounced off the concrete walls and Luna lifted her head from my jacket and gave me a look of deep personal offense before putting it back down. “Sorry,” I told her. “But what IS this? Someone’s secret alimony?” She yawned. She was no help. I photographed the page. Then I photographed the three pages before it and the inside cover and the spine. I got the account number, the routing number, every date, every amount.

Jack said, pointing to the screen, “contains information on extensive illegal operations and offshore bank accounts Henry used to hide his money. It’s a comprehensive record of his financial dealings, including accounts that are likely still active.” I studied the information, trying to process the details. “This could be crucial. Do you have any idea where these accounts are located?” Jack nodded, tapping on a cell. “The ledger includes the names of several banks and account numbers. It’s not complete, but it’s enough to start piecing things together. If we can monitor these accounts, we might be able to track Henry’s movements or find out where he’s hiding.”

I knew they would do that; if they did, I would be so focused on saving the systems that I would forget about the account, so I am steps ahead of them. “Smart,” Pa said. “But can’t they turn off their system?” Duncan asked. “They can, but I am already inside, so if they do it, it’s a waste of time because when they turn it back on, I continue from where I stopped,” I said, biting my lips. “You are already inside?” Brandon asked. “Yes,” I said, downloading all the information on it. I hope they are useful. After downloading it, I went to the bank accounts, and they have three bank accounts. One is named Ario, Jessy, and Robert.

“Besides, they're billionaires. I doubt it's anything. It's not like they're going to miss a few dollars out of their Scrooge McDuck swimming pool vaults.” “I'd agree with you, except not for this account.” I shrugged, trying to make it not sound like I was accusing him. “Due to how easy it would be to hide money in this account, the accountants are anal about it. They have to have receipts for everything. They track every dollar. This isn't the cash box for the secretaries where ten bucks won't be missed. This is a special funds account. They watch it down to the penny.”

“I’ll deposit this into your account tomorrow.” “My account?” Ava asked, “I don’t have an account of my own.” Bella turned to her with a puzzled look on her lovely face, “Of course you do. Alpha Michaels had one opened for you under an alias. Where do you think I’ve been putting your payments?” Ava’s mouth opened and closed wordlessly. Ava had assumed there was some sort of communal account that Bella divided accordingly. She hadn’t known… “He didn’t tell me.” She stated and handed Bella the check from Noah.

LYDIA I chose a quiet corner table at the coffee shop downtown when I arrived. All the account numbers from my past life easily came back to me then. I had seen every single one of these records during the embezzlement investigation, how couldn't I when the prosecutors had shown me page after page of transactions that all supposedly traced back to me? I remembered the real account numbers too, the ones that actually belonged to Vanessa, and I typed them out, one by one. Account 4782-9341-6628.

I slam my index finger down on the ENTER key and the right side of my screen explodes. Lines of code blur past. The script hits the Cayman servers, shoving the flatline data right into the biometric lock. ACCESS GRANTED. "I’m in," I say, my fingers flying across the keys. "I have the primary accounts. Linking the holding companies now." A master ledger pops open on my screen. It’s just numbers. Black text on a white background. Current Balance: €412,500,000. "Jesus," Chana breathes. I trigger the drain protocol.

the woman carefully explained to the confused doctor. "Money in my bank account?" Beam became more confused. The woman turned away to get an envelope from her table and went back to Beam. "This is your updated financial statement which reflects the amount being deposited in your account since six years ago" she handed him the envelope which he readily accepted and scanned the contents. He only has one bank account in this bank aside from his payroll account from the hospital. He gasped and his whole being seemed to tremble from the cold. He gasped as he saw the amount that is being deposited in his account every month.
