I muttered in disbelief. He let out a cold sneer. “Lucas? No. But I curse the day we came from the same womb.” His attention returned to the book, fingers, decorated with black rings, tapping against the book rhythmically. His aura was overwhelming. He wasn’t just an Alpha. He was a Lycan King. Lucas had a brother? “You’re Lucas’s brother?” I managed to ask, my voice shaky. He nodded once. “Not just a brother. His twin.”

"Honestly, it's nothing. I was just... wondering how this Ace guy looked like. He must be so handsome if he managed to swoon you over." I gasped. "Swoon? Mum, you're getting it all wrong! Ace is like my...my brother." She smirked teasingly. "Indeed indeed. You smile so dreamingly when you talk about him and you claim he's a brother. If he's a brother then your father is my father." "You're...you're getting it all wrong." I said bashfully and she laughed. "Look, son..." She took my hand. "If you like him more than a brother, there is no problem with that."

*Vincenzo Ace* “You know—” He cleared his throat and continued speaking, “we can combine our shares to take the control away from him.” Sitting at the corner of the room, I drummed my finger on the wooden armrest wondering how in the world they could come up with such a lame idea, thinking they could trick me into giving away my shares. They could already sense the tense atmosphere—they knew I wasn't falling for their tricks, yet, their ego wouldn't let them accept defeat until they had a knife cutting through their fingers and digging deep right into their throats.

I had never witnessed such a defeated expression grace my brother's face, "I didn't say we were going to use this information." Ace spun on the heels of his timberlands furiously, "You can't be serious? We finally have a way of giving this fucker what he deserves and you want to hold back. I didn't kill him when you ordered me not to but we are going to, at least, do this. If not for dad then for mom."

“No, I won't do such creepy shit— I just know things.” “Anyways— I would call you the crazy one here,” he added, “For leaving your father's company in the hands of a man like Ezra while you stay home playing little house wives.” I took in a deep breath trying to digest what he had just said before blurting out my own opinion. “Ezra is–” “A liar,” he said, immediately cutting me off. “And a cheater, and you know it.” My jaw tightened as I stared back at him. “How dare you say such things about your own brother–And how would you know anything about my marriage?”

I looked over at Javier who still hasn't noticed anything then back at Gemma who as gone back in. Thank goodness. "It is not to much to ask and I am truly sorry if I never made you feel unloved as my brother." Ace is stalling him which is a good thing. The police will be here any minute from now. "I was selfish, I know but we can still fix things, fix our relationship, I love you and so does mum. Please brother, drop the gun and I'll help you." Ace said slowly and lowly. "Help? Help, why do all of you fucking say that? I don't need help. I am not crazy and that's what why your emotional approach won't work on me, Brother." The said that brother with so much spite.

Why didn’t you let her kill me, too?” I asked Ace as I rocked Diya, plopping down feeling weak. “Go… get that.. Bitch,” Ace coughed out. “No, why did you, Ace?” I asked. “Correcting a mis-mistake,” he coughed blood, “I always want- wanted - a brother.” he tried to laugh but coughed, “We are family.”

“Elvira…. I…. I…. Have missed you…. I have always wished we could go back to that day, if I had delayed you by telling you what I wanted to tell you, then you wouldn’t have died.” Becky forcefully yanked Ace away from me, “Who are you?” I asked after I have managed to catch my breath. “What do you mean who I am? I’m your brother,” he took a step closer to me and I took one backward, “It’s Ace, your troublemaker, can’t you recognize me?” Becky cleared her throat as she stood in front of me, “I think you have the wrong person, Mrs Kyrell, this is the Brother of the criminal everyone said you look….”

I had managed to catch up with the pain in my ass that was soon to be my sister-in-law. Though was she my sister-in-law when it was her sister marrying my brother? I didn’t fucking know. All that I knew was that she was a fucking nuisance, and it appeared to be me that was left babysitting her. ‘No.’ Ace chuckled. ‘You literally sprinted through the packhouse to check on her. There is a bit of a difference.’

Ace and Ares. They’re not the names we had picked out for the boys. I don’t know why I chose those names or where I even pulled them from, but what I do know is that they are fitting to the situation they were born into. Ace is a bigger than his brother and holds power when playing a game of cards. He will hold the weight of his brother and any siblings that come after to insure they win.
