He was shirtless. He sped toward Elder Xan, who was busy sinking his fangs into the neck of the trumpet player he had overpowered. Adrian grabbed Xan and slammed him against the wall with brutal force. The wall cracked on impact. Xan crumpled to the ground, unconscious, as Adrian released him. “In my office in twenty minutes,” Adrian said as he walked past me and headed for the exit. Medics came running toward the wounded. A voice came from behind, and I turned around to see a short-grown man with a white mustache growing on his face, rubbing his palms together. “Really?” I asked, intrigued. Clinton grunted from behind me, but I didn't pay him heed. “Yes, the young lad's name was Tayo, and he believed that werewolves are real and that he had seen one transforming before.” Now, I was certainly intrigued. Wrapping my arms around my chest, we listened to him tell us more about Tayo. And from all the things he spoke about the boy, it somehow convinced me that he must have actually seen one before.
