Adrian was a fine man, in all senses of the word. He looked just about Damon's height, he had green eyes, dull green, the type that makes you feel like you're sinking the more you look at it. He was quite buff and had an athletic body. He had strong facial features, a thoroughly ‘M’ shaped top lip, and a pink bottom lip. He had a scar, in the shape of a slit, right above his left eye, making him look like Scar from the Lion King movie.

It was war smelling the mate bond. I thought the bond was dead. “You smell like power now,” he growled. “Like storms and the moonlight. What really happened to you?” I stood tall, refusing to hide my body. “I survived. I was what you tried to kill.” Damon’s jaw dropped. For the first time, I felt pain appear right in his eyebrows. “I was wrong, Annie. Cassandra lied to me. The missing tie should look casual, but on Adrian, it reads like something has been removed and not replaced. His face is composed, though Julian can see the exhaustion underneath. He looks like a man who has slept badly and chosen badly and finally decided to stand where everyone can see the cost.
