When The Moon Hides Her Crown
“Do you like it?”
Petal’s gaze was locked on the gem, her voice barely a whisper. “I love it, Dread. I’ve never seen such a beautiful gem in my life.”
“It’s moonstone,” Dread murmured as he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer.
She hesitated for a moment, her fingers reaching out to touch the gem, but she pulled them back. “How did you get it?” she asked, intrigued.
Dread’s voice softened as he shared, “My mother used to say I was born with this in my hand.”
