Falling should’ve felt loud. Screaming. Wind. Chaos. But the plunge into the darkness beneath the facility was silent—too silent. It was like being swallowed by a void that didn’t need sound to terrify you. Damien’s hand was clamped around mine, his grip desperate, nails digging into my skin as if he feared letting go meant losing me forever. The darkness swallowed everything, but after a few seconds, a strange, soft blue glow appeared below—like bioluminescent water. We hit it hard, except it wasn’t water. It was thicker, like gel or mist that held us before slowly lowering us to a solid surface.

Draven’s head lifted slowly. “Tonight,” he said, “we do not rescue.” His eyes darkened into black voids. “Tonight…” He smiled. “We exterminate.” ****** Underground****** Violetta’s hands shook as she slid the wine cabinet aside. A narrow steel door waited behind it. Her pulse pounded so hard she could hear it in her ears. She swiped the keycard. A red light flashed. Denied. Her breath caught. “No… no, come on…” She swiped it again.

I continued, "or she's using magic so sophisticated that standard detection stones can't reveal it." Helena leaned forward, interest sharp in her eyes. "Or the emeralds weren't real detection stones. Just regular gems made to look legitimate." "That's what I thought too," Lucas agreed. "Performance. Making her seem like she has nothing to hide when actually she's just using fake detection stones." Violet had stepped back from Jax during this conversation, using the distraction to put distance between them. But I know what it’s like to lose someone you care about, to feel that emptiness inside. And I know that it’s okay to grieve. You need to let it out, Violet. You can’t bottle this up.” Violet’s heart raced, her emotions swirling in a tumultuous storm.

"He mentioned dropping a yellow diamond pendant in the garden." Even someone as privileged as Chris, who had been born into wealth, was shocked to hear this. "Really? Is the pendant that important? And since when did Liam become interested in precious stones?" Violet yawned. She lazily stretched and said, "Who knows? I'm drained. I'm heading to bed." As for whether Liam eventually found what he was looking for, Violet wasn't worried at all. Some things were progressing very smoothly, after all! … It wasn't until the next day, on her way to the hospital, that Lana remembered what was so important yesterday!

“What do they need to open The Void? If I can destroy their means to opening it, I will.” Aunt Beatrice thinks for a moment. “The most important component to opening The Void is the Orb of Telsa. It’s about the size of a softball, usually an amber yellow color. They are rare and an extreme pain in the ass to make. You destroy that and I’d say Lucifer will be safe for a bit. They require quite a bit of time to make.” I nod in understanding. Right. Save Lucifer. Destroy the Orb of Telsa. Try not to die. Check. Check. And check. Once the girls and Liam get here, we’ll go over the plan then head out to save the man I love.
