I slumped my back against the bed frame, and tears streamed down my face. “Aaron, you need to go to sleep now,” I said, trying to coax him to sleep. “No, mom. Read me a bed time story since you’re not coming home” he murmured, his voice sleepy. “Alright,” I nodded, giving in to him. “So what type of story do you want to hear?”

After I coaxed Leah to sleep, Jayden told me to go to his bedroom to tell him a story. However, I didn't know what happened to Jayden today. I told him a lot of stories, but he still refused to sleep. In the end, I was sleepy. Looking at the clock on the wall, it was almost 11 o'clock. I helplessly looked at Jayden and asked, "Why don't you sleep tonight, Jay?" My saliva had dried up. I really didn't know why the little guy's big round eyes were still so energetic. To my surprise, Jayden got into my arms and hugged my waist, saying, "Mommy, I might be too excited today. You're here in my bedroom today to tell me stories at night. That's great!"

Davina lamented. “Are you a grown-up? The answer is No! You are still a child and sleeping early would help your brain’s activities.” I responded. I tucked them in successfully and turned off the light after reading a short bedtime story of Mama Bear and Baby Bear. Striding carefully out of the room I closed the door gently behind me. “Is there anything you want me to do for you before retiring for the day?” Nana Amy asked. “No, you can leave now. But before you go, where is Father?” I inquired.

Nathaniel said. “Another one! Another one!” Sebastian requested. Alisa nodded with a smile. “You want another story, Ali?” Nathaniel asked his daughter. Alisa nodded. “I can’t hear you, baby.” Alisa swayed her body at first, then spoke. “Another one!” Nathaniel chuckled, pinching Alisa’s cheek lightly. “Good girl.” They hadn’t seen Serena yet, so they eagerly listened to another story. The last book Nathaniel read was 'Goodnight Moon.' It was the perfect story to get them ready for bed. As he read, he changed his tone and pointed to the items mentioned in the book. By the time he was done, the kids were satisfied.

The night was cold, and I feared they would catch a cold, but they began to cry out loud on the road. People began to stare, so I had gotten them the ice cream. When they got home, I prepared for them a nice warm shower, and dressed them, making them ready for bed. “I'm craving a bedtime story, Mommy.” Nadia said, as I tucked them in. “I'll tell you one tomorrow. I'm exhausted, okay? What do you think about two bedtime stories tomorrow?” I asked, as a bribe. “Oh yeah! I want Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty.”

"I know you're awake, so get up." She groaned sleepily. "James, please, I fell asleep at three o'clock in the morning, so could you please shut up and let me sleep?" she asked, hugging the pillow beside her. "And it's not my fault you didn't go to bed early; we already talked about it, so don't give me that reason. Will you stand there, or will I drag you to the bathroom?" James threatened. She moaned once more. Damn, this jerk! Despite her love for him, there are times when she just wants to torture him. Does he not notice how sleepy I am?

She puts on a clean cloth and climbs on the bed. Emily lays on her back staring at the ceiling, the soft and warm bed sooths her as she hits her head on the pillow. She closes her eyes and tried to sleep but she can't. Emily tosses around looking for a perfect spot to lay, she even stands up to drink water. Staring outside the window, not a single soul on the road. Emily inhales deeply letting the air out, she returns to the bed and tries to sleep again. This time it becomes successful as she finally falls asleep wishing to have a peaceful dream which turns to a nightmare.

After a while Jax stood up. “It’s late. We only have the one big bed. You’ll sleep in the middle. It’s safer that way.” I nodded. My heart was beating fast, but I followed them. They turned off the lamp, leaving only the low glow from the dying fire. The cabin fell into soft shadows. I climbed into the big bed first, lying on my back. Jax lay down on my left, Kane on my right. The mattress dipped under their weight.Their soft breathing had me closing my eyes, ready to sleep.

Go and sleep, okay? It's already getting late and you have to go to school tomorrow. You won't be able to wake up on time if you do not go to sleep now." George agreed and went to bed. "But, who will tell me a bedtime story now that you're busy?" George asked. Elena assured him, "Of course, I will." Leaving her laptop, she went to sit beside him on the bed and began to tell him the same story she had told him every night. When she saw that he had begun to sleep, she put a cover over him and helped him lie down. Afterward, she went back to what she was doing.

"Can we put Aiden to bed?" Evan requested from Lily and Lucas. "Does he still listen to bedtime stories?" Shantelle asked. "Does he want a glass of milk and a cookie before going to bed?" "Oh, I love bedtime stories!" Aiden responded with enthusiasm. Lily nearly coughed out blood at his son's answer because Aiden graduated relatively early from bedtime stories. At six, he was already learning basic coding for kids. Bedtime stories bore him, but he wanted to hear one from Lucas' mother.
