Right in the middle of the fire and the blood. This time, I shoved my mother behind me, dragging her toward the panic room. And the bastards who were too blind to believe me? They’ll regret it.

In the first year after marrying Victoria Kingsley, I choose to celebrate the holidays with her in her childhood home. At dinner, my mother-in-law suddenly claims that she's lost her gold bracelet. After an unfortunate event ; Angelo finds out why his mother has been against his relationship with Cleo,and just when he finally thinks he has done all he can to protect them... His life is turned upside down when Cleo is caught in-between a war she didn't start and only he can stop it .
