It was clear that he was scared as the enemy soldier stared him down.

The way to gain the title is by achieving great feats in countless battles and polishing your skills. Harder than being an adventurer could do.

Racks of servers formed silent, blinking aisles, their LED lights casting a cool, blue glow. In the centre of the room, on a pedestal under a clear blast case, sat the Aegis prototype. It was smaller than Anton remembered—a sleek, black sliver of carbon composite and embedded silicon, no larger than a credit card. The culmination of his father’s failed dream and his own life’s work. The object that had cost blood and trust.

"Sebastian, I'm not just going to weaponize it. I'm going to use it to power a new god." He tapped a button on his console. The massive steel floor plates at the back of the facility slowly parted. Standing on the platform were three towering figures. They weren't the bulky, slow exoskeletons they had used in Antarctica. These were Mark VI "Aegis" Tactical Mechs. Ten feet tall. Forged from a black, lightweight carbon-titanium alloy. They were sleek, humanoid, and menacing.
