Maxwell asked, inspecting me from where he stood beside Halcyon, both of them suddenly looking a lot closer than I remember them being. "I have made it so that her Mermaid attributes can only be seen by those who know of her true identity. From her eyes to her skin which shines when making contact with water; If a person isn't aware that she's a Mermaid, then that person will only see a normal Human who's simply unfairly gorgeous." I breathed out a long breath of air, her words dawning on me. This was possibly the most useful gift I've ever received. "You know what that means?" Rick whispered, and I laughed, looking up at him.

The water was icy cold, but it had a refreshing feel to it. “I told you never to come back here! And now you bring another to my abode?” an angry silver feminine voice resounded as a figure suddenly appeared above the river. Omitirin, the mermaid, I came to the conclusion as I stared at her, awed. She looked a little short of five feet nine, with a very young face like a teenagers’, and she was naked from the waist up with perky black breasts out on full display. From her waist down was a fishtail with bluish-green scales which sparkled bright like precious stones.

But my excitement quickly dimmed; they were nothing like I thought they would be. There were two kinds of mermaids: the stunningly beautiful women with long, colorful hair, alluring voices, bare strutting breasts, and incredible tails. Every sailor's dream, I thought at first, until I learned they were the wicked once. They didn’t use their looks to lure men to them here; they used them to display ranks beneath the sea. The more beautiful and sexier one was, it meant the more they had killed. They sucked shifter’s youth out of them and drank their blood, and the prettier they got, the more addicted they became.

Helen trailed off as she halted along with the others. She stared at the painting in awe while taking a step to take a closer look. Mayari too became interested and cast her gaze towards the portrait of a mermaid with dark beauty. Her long hair flowed like the black sea, in contrast with her pale white skin that glistened like white pearls, along with the black scales that framed her youthful face. Her irises captured the rayless shade of the abyss as she stared deep through the souls of her audience. Her black lips are slightly parted as she said her words in silence.

And suddenly, a structure of a long black hair and a half naked shadow of a woman hiding from the fogs just in front of me. The woman structure slowly appearing from the fogs and a flowing water moves ahead to my bed with the fogs from the where the woman sitting on a big rock. A white-skinned long dark-red hair and a white glowing small blazing pearl attached on her fish tail on her belly button. A gladiatorial beauty, pinkish cheek, and wreath of shining greenish pearls. Wait, what? A mermaid? I was very shocked the time I saw her complete appearance. She smiled and said, “The middle of the city flows on harmony by the sword of a true prince and it will show you the way of power.”

"What do you mean the one I fought with was the weakest?" I was already annoyed. After a light laugh Maltida placed her hand under my chin and raised my head up a bit. Our eyes jammed each other, I got to get a good look at the mermaid eyes, they where so beautiful. Everything was marvellous from her eyebrows to her lashes and all, it was so beautiful that I wanted to faint. It seems it had enchanting powers, it started making my own eyes glow.

It’s a mermaid! I was astonished to see a mermaid in real life. I gaped while looking at her, though my shock wasn't as strong as before. Elves, a golem, and now a mermaid. It seems I have really stepped into a fantasy realm. The mermaid sat on the rock and turned to face us. I was stunned looking at her beauty. Long red hair, fair skin, and green fish tail. I then make my way to the same beach I have been visiting these last few days. Removing my clothes and hiding them in a bush on the edge of the beach I quickly make my way to the water.
