That felt like a dig at me. Ace raises and eyebrow at me. There is no way he is going to take a hit at me in my condition. It seems like he’s the only one here who cares about my wellbeing. Hopefully I will have time to talk to him after this session. I need to get it straight that I didn’t mean to be harsh turning him down, and that he doesn’t need to hate me for it. Reaching his fist out toward me, I block Ace’s hit. He does the same to me a few times before we step away from each other.

I smiled after her. “Alright everyone, grab your partner and let’s practice placement of hits. But in slow motion please…I don’t need any more broken noses!” Two little boys giggled down at the end. They’d ‘accidentally’ broken each other’s noses last time. By accidentally, I mean one punched the other and broke his, and the other boy retaliated. Fortunately, even though they didn’t have their wolves’ yet, accelerated healing is in our blood so no harm had really been done aside from some blood stains on their shirts.

I am in for a lot of trouble. I have not even recovered from the surprise that came with not being able to get him to move when numerous hits start to land on my body. I could not keep up to even try to avoid most of the hits as they went through me at freewill. What happens after I have been weakened by that is I find myself being lifted up in the air and then slammed to the ground. It does not stop there because I am instantly lifted up from the ground once more and slammed to the ground again.

I'd been told far too many times that I was easily provoked. After an hour we were both panting and out of breath. We were lying on the mats and staring at the ceiling to calm our breathing down. “And I told you to hit me when I say go.” Before I could process what was happening, he lunged forward. I barely had time to block. His arm brushed mine fast, controlled, testing me. “What the hell!” I yelled. “This is what you signed up for,” he said, circling me. “Lesson one: You don’t wait to be hit. You anticipate it.” I growled. “I should’ve known you’d enjoy this.” His eyes shone. "You don't know what I like." I hit first this time. He stopped it easy.

I realized that was how I might have sounded. “No, I mean..” “It's fine, the first hit only affected me because I was not expecting it to be that hard” he explained to me, which made me slightly relieved. “Now hit me again” This time, I did not hesitate and hit him again, he caught the punch, but this time he did not move backward like the first time.
