It was his mother Betty. "I said leave! Please! Leave!" Betty screaming while Mr. Vin run towards her when she saw her holding her chest sobbing while she chases Felix away. Betty's cousin Lia run also towards her and she is the one who tried to talk to Felix. "Go, leave her for while okay?" Lia speak up while holding Betty in her arms together with Mr. Vin. Felix look at Lia and then to her mother Betty who was also staring at him. Upon looking at those eyes he can see the anger, hatred, and pain her mother Betty was trying to convey through her eyes.

Mom slapped her hand away, causing it to turn red instantly. My sister froze. Mom also looked stunned. She looked at her hand, then at the egg, and suddenly ran into the kitchen, covering her face. Her shoulders shook violently, and she kept muttering the same phrase. I leaned in to listen. "It's for Brandon… It's for Brandon…" I sighed. Three months passed. My family had finally managed to put aside a bit of their remorse to resume living normal lives. But things started going wrong. First, it was Dad's job.

“He also said he’d keep his phone on. And it isn’t.” Before Elara could respond, her phone buzzed… No caller ID. She hesitated. Answered. Nothing. Only silence. She looked at Marek. “Something feels wrong.” “Yeah,” he whispered. “I feel it too.” Cut to the other side of the city Lucian leaned over a dark booth in an abandoned warehouse lit by a single bulb. Across from him sat a woman in a hooded jacket, hands shaking. He frowned. “Start talking.” She gulped. “Damien… he’s planning something short-term. Tonight.”

Half a month passed. It was as if I had completely disappeared, without a single trace. His unease grew stronger. Tired of this silent standoff, Tony decided to go home and talk to me face-to-face. “Astrid!” Suppressing his anger, he pushed open the door. The house was still in the same mess as that night. In the air, there was a faint, rotting smell of blood. His chest tightened suddenly as he rushed into the living room. Only then did he clearly see that the dark red stain in the surveillance footage wasn’t wine at all.

He nodded, "I just want you to be careful, we both…" "I have to go Sebastian; I have to handle a few emails." I didn't wait to hear what he had to say, I clicked the end button. I let out a low huff as I stared at the wall in front of me, I had just gone off on Sebastian, I didn't know how to feel about it.
