Elysia: *Typed her address* His reply came almost instantly. Sebastian: Great. See you tomorrow. Elysia: Good night. Being an introvert, it hasn't been easier for her to communicate with others. But she can be herself through the phone. At the other end, Sebastian sat on the rocking chair. A cigarette in between his fingers while, on the other hand, he was holding the mobile. The little conversation which he had with her was shining on the screen. He can't even count how many times he read it.

The doors opened behind her. Dante stepped out. He looked thinner, older, and badly rested. His suit was still expensive, but it hung on him as if it belonged to another man. When he saw Serena, his face hardened, and she lowered her eyes at once. Then he looked at me. “Aria,” he said quietly. “Are you doing well?” “Yes,” I said. “Better than before.” His throat moved. “I tried to reach you. Emails, calls, the recovery trust… did you receive any of it?”

Pulse of Four Evandra's POV Five weeks. That’s how long it had been since Crescent bled, since the air filled with fire and ash and the cries of wolves dying in their own homes. Five weeks since Balor’s walls had crumbled and his spirit nearly with it. Five weeks of rebuilding. The Alpha house stood tall again, scars patched, beams replaced, windows shining clean like none of it had ever happened. But I knew better. Crescent carried wounds invisible to the eye, grief that lingered in the hearts of its wolves. I carried it too.

Melanie stepped out from behind Henry, her face a picture of innocence, yet her smile was anything but. "Selena, this is the maternity ward. How could you just 'pass by'? You're here for Henry, aren't you?" Henry's eyes, complicated and heavy, landed on me, his voice filled with resignation, "Selena, there's no need for this. I told you that we're getting remarried on the first of next month." I stayed quiet, hiding behind Wren, not ready to reveal the truth. Melanie's eyes flashed with anger, and suddenly she clutched her stomach while exclaiming, "My stomach... Is the baby coming?!"

I sighed and started reading all the notifications and messages that I received. I made sure, I've seen everything but I didn't reply to any. I looked at Xavier's profile and saw my picture with Gail posted. I sighed. After I finished reading the messages and notifications, I called Xavier's number. "Veronica, you called. Finally," he said. I rolled my eyes even though he couldn't see me. He's been so reckless and it annoys me so much. He caused so much trouble to the point that even the ones not involved are dragged in this mess.

I tell them more accurately and I'm surprised when they burst out laughing. "Is this a joke? Everyone knows The Emperor lost his mate years ago." Sabastian says. He squeezes my left breast. "For that stunt. No more foreplay. Let's get to the real deal." He brings his face closer to mine and does something I don't expect he bites me and I cry out in pain as I feel him draining me. I struggle to get out of Red's hold. Sabastian suddenly pulls away from me screaming in pain. Red let's go of me going to help his friend but that's when the unexpected happened. Sebastian melted. Almost like he burned from the inside out before melting.

Specially Felix who was already sweating in front of his teacher. Felix turned his head around slowly. And Ms. Ann glance at the guard who shouted in a slow motion. Felix saw him walking straight to his direction. The look of the guard was very mad and because of fear Felix went quickly at the back of Ms. Ann and hide in.

Mom slapped her hand away, causing it to turn red instantly. My sister froze. Mom also looked stunned. She looked at her hand, then at the egg, and suddenly ran into the kitchen, covering her face. Her shoulders shook violently, and she kept muttering the same phrase. I leaned in to listen. "It's for Brandon… It's for Brandon…" I sighed. Three months passed. My family had finally managed to put aside a bit of their remorse to resume living normal lives. But things started going wrong. First, it was Dad's job.

They watched as the taillights faded as she headed toward the base. They continued to sit on the porch for a few minutes before they heard something. They looked to see the cow that had been shot with the dart was awake and standing again. “Now that everything is under control and mostly back to normal, what do you think about going back to bed or at least lying on the couch and finding something boring to watch?” Wren asked. “I think that is a great idea,” Lindsay answered.
