He stood up and extended his hand to me. I shook his hand and nodded. "Beta Jones. How do you do?" "Very fine, ma'am, " he said. "I was not thinking we would be seeing you - when did you arrive?" "This morning, by a helicopter. You didn't hear that?" I asked, sitting down on the couch beside him. He smiled sheepishly. "I did not." "Jones has been very busy recently," Rick said from his table. "He has been running some tasks that require him to be out of the pack many times. Tell her, Jones."

Maya chuckled. Jones tensed, tightening his grip on my hand. Jones pulled me along with him towards the door. My heart rapidly beats against my chest. I could see the way Jones' shoulders would rise and fall, his breathing was audible and I could tell he was beyond angry. What kind of a task will get anyone this mad? Why was he even furious, I had always thought he was an FBI agent, doing tasks, Investigations and all but through their controversy I suspected my thoughts could be quite correct.

I asked, ignoring his greetings. “Boss, Mr Jones is quite corny and extremely careful in his doings, but he has been meeting up with a particular person a lot,” he said. “Who’s this person?” I asked. “I don’t know because the person is always in disguise when they meet up,” he said. “You’ll have to find out who Jones is working with, did you find anything else?” I asked. “The Raven are planning to buy the shares on the 14th of this month sir,” he said.

Adrian didn’t understand why they had to stay inside the car even when someone was asking for a fight. He craned his neck, intending to take a closer look. Then his eyes widened. He gasped. “He’s one of them! One of the guys from the farm!” “Let me guess.. He doesn’t have a pregnant wife..” Detective Jones said dryly. Adrian was taken aback. “I–I don’t know. It’s not like I’m on friendly terms with them to know stuff like that..” Detective Jones sighed. “Sorry.. I didn’t mean to–” He scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

He had messed with the wrong person. Jade huffed victoriously and reached into her bag. She pulled out a sticker which she stuck to his head and then her phone. She removed the tracker on his sleeve and took a picture of his ID card and then of him. Sending the first picture to a contact saved as Lewis on her phone, she instructed that he dug up every dirt on him and sent it to her in less than thirty minutes.

I wanted answers to clear my doubts. "Jake sent it". Huh...Jake was unknown? My head was beginning to spin. "H-how?" "Gio had a son I didn't know of. This marriage would definitely go downhill very quickly. "Aunt Mae? Like aunt Mae, as in your sister?" Alex needed to confirm that the two of them were speaking about the same woman because there was no way her aunt would commit to one person. "Yes, aunt Mae, as in my sister." Even William struggled to believe she was getting married. When she told him the news he laughed, hoping it was a joke but unfortunately it wasn't. Aunt Mae Jones was indeed getting married. "Do you know who she's marrying?" Alex asked and took a sip from the water bottle on the side of her bed.
