If I had blinked I would have missed it because not 10 minutes after she is placed in that cage, I see her fingers twitch. Yup, just like I thought. She’s still in there. Merlin tells me that my power was lavender in my past life and that this ridiculously vibrant pink is an upgrade. I mean, at least it’s bright, I guess. Unfortunately, blinding someone with vibrant colorful light isn’t going to keep me very safe in an invisible knife fight.

I told him that he told everything that he knew about the warlock. About Camelot, Gaius, Kilgharrah, Guinevere, Mordred, the priestess, Zephyr, and above all, Arthur. I pushed up to my toes, pressed my lips to his scaled face. He reached down, grabbed my hand. He slapped his open palm to mine. Glared up at Finn. "Ever." Ari snorted. "Thank you for that moment to process, garinion." I smiled. "Sure, Ari. What's your news?" She rearranged her face into a brighter expression. "Well, good news first. Merlin is still safely stuck in his tomb. It will take more than Patrick has available to raise him." "Even if he has Matilda Matheson as a supernatural battery?" Finn asked.

At the same time, a blinding flash of lightning erupted from Christine's raised left hand, consuming two zero-level spell slots to instantly cast the zero-level spell 'Flash'. The sudden flash blinded everyone, including Iber, and they could see nothing. Strangle! A dagger emerged from Christine's right wrist (see Assassin's Creed). Swoosh! The dagger, made of various magical metals including mithril, instantly sliced through Iber's neck with the strength of a fourth-level warrior. Pop! Blood spurted from the severed head, spraying Nazan the mage and the maid with it, while Christine managed to dodge it. Plop, Iber's head and the headless corpse fell to the ground at the same time.

When Ronan pulled his lips away from his he said to him, "Adrian, my love, demons have a highly developed sense of smell and each person has a different scent which allows us to recognize them and track them over a long distance if necessary. There is a legend that says that every demon has a mermaid somewhere, a person who would have a smell so powerful that it would make you lose your mind. I never believed it before, how the smell of a person could intoxicate you to the point of losing your mind, but after meeting you I finally understood."
