Mira clawed at her throat, her eyes wide, terrified, her fingers scraping at nothing as the invisible force tightened around her neck. Rowan lifted his other hand to finish it, and that’s when it happened. A flash of white. No, it wasn't white. It was blinding, holy even and almost impossible. It erupted right in front of Rowan, exploding outward like a star being born. Every warrior, every puppet, every creature on the field cried out and shielded their eyes. I fell onto my hands as the world turned winter white. “What…?!” Rowan snarled, stumbling back. The light reached my skin, warm, and familiar, and I just knew who it was.

I added and he glared at me, trying to stable his feet on the floor as his eyes became more drowsy by the moment. In less than five minutes, I had a swan of armies lying down inside the room in different directions as they snored. “I don't understand.” Amelia finally spoke up for the first time since the warriors were asleep and Damien nodded like he was in support of her not understanding. Oh wait, maybe he also means that he didn't understand. “What part do you not understand?” I simply asked as I placed the base of my boots on one of the warriors head but he was completely immobile, they almost look dead.

Scratching the back of my neck, my cheeks reddened as I looked away from Al's naked torso, "W.I.K.D is closing in on us, they set camps at night, move fast during the day," I swallowed hard, "And how do you know this?" Amber inquired, she didn't even try to hide her bitter tone, I thought long and hard, realizing I didn't get her name and she did mention not to tell my friends about us ever meeting, I wish to honor that request, she did save my life, twice, "I— I was out catching my breath when I pick up a scent.... blood, so I— followed it... They have humans as some kind of prisoners, doing bloodletting to lure us in. And—" I paused,

He ordered. She didn't woke up and he repeated his action from earlier but it sill had no effect. He couldn't help but chuckle. She sure is a heavy sleeper. "Baby, wake up. It's me Ares, your mate." He said and Thea moved slightly in her sleep. "Ares?" She whispered with close eyes. "I am here baby." He said and Thea opend her eyes ever so slowly. The view in front of her was blurry and she blinked her eyes few times.

Adira’s POV Cold water hits my face like an iceberg, and I quickly open my eyes to see that I am surrounded by a group of men I have never seen before. Realizing I am naked, I sit up and pull my legs into me as they all stare at me and I look around at their faces not recognizing any of them. That’s when I began to try and see my surroundings as my head felt foggy.

SELENA’s POV. I woke to muffled voices and the scent of antiseptic. Blinking, I found Aiden sitting beside me, his expression tight with worry, while the pack healer hovered near the bed. “She’s awake,” Aiden said, relief softening his voice. He leaned closer. “How are you feeling? Any pain?” I pushed myself up with his help, my limbs trembling. “I’m alright,” I murmured, though the fatigue pressed heavy against my skin.

But the most crucial rule governing the Awakeners is the Nine Alignments System. It categorizes every soul based on their morality—Good, Neutral, or Evil—and their attitude toward order—Lawful, Neutral, or Chaotic. Naturally, those whose souls fall into the "Evil" or "Chaotic" alignments are far more susceptible to the mental corruption that turns an Awakener into a Fallen.
