Mix your scent with hers.” Akira's brows furrowed in confusion, but she didn't hesitate. She walked over to Kaida's lifeless body and knelt beside her.

Cai Kang sat at the couch while Fukuna got snacks. "I hope you still like oranges." She smiles as she brought in a tray full of oranges. "I got to go to work now. I'll see you guys later." She says and quickly leaves the apartment. While Cai Kang started peeling the fruit from the tray, Ryosuke got his notes. “That pearl you saw in Akihabara is called a Yeouiju.” Ryosuke told Cai Kang. “A yeouiju? Even in our world, it is quite legendary.” Cai Kang astonishes.

Akira suggested as she flipped through the books laying in front of her. She flipped through three more books before settling on the fourth. “Here's something” she said as she passed the book to Rune who took it from her expectantly. “Well then, I hope you're ready for your first lesson.” Akira nodded while Rune read aloud. “Þa Wordes of Dreogan – Of Houndras, the Unwitan Beasts” he read. Akira gave him a confused look and he responded with a shrug of his shoulders.

Akira whispered a sharp incantation — words I didn’t recognize but felt down to the marrow of my bones. The mist recoiled. The figures howled in rage, shrinking, twisting. Another wave came — stronger, meaner. They clawed at the edges of reality, trying to force fear into our hearts. Akira stood, her hand flashing as she pulled a small silver talisman from under her jacket — a charm etched with runes I knew were old, older than Raven’s Peak itself. The moment she held it aloft, the symbols lit up — soft and silver like moonlight trapped in stone.

As they walked into his office, Akira smiled, appreciating the kindness from his friend who always took such good care of him. After taking one Styrofoam box after another from the white bags, Akira revealed two dishes of Japanese cousine ,spring rolls, a papaya salad, and two iced chai lattes. Sitting across from each other in the comfy leather loveseats, Xyrus and Akira enjoyed their lunch in silence. “So, tell me what’s eating you, Xy,” Akira finally started the conversation she had been waiting to have all morning. She hated when things bothered her friend and was always willing to help get him back to his normal easy-going self.

There were Zane and Iry, seated comfortably on Elora’s plush sofa, each holding a glass of wine, their laughter filling the room as Elora leaned over them, smiling like they were sharing some inside joke. She looked up when I entered, her smile slipping for just a second before she quickly replaced it with a smirk. “Akira !” She greeted, pretending to be pleasantly surprised. “You’re back! I was just—” “What are you doing here?” I cut her off, my voice sharper than I intended. “And what’s in those glasses?” Zane laughed, clearly not understanding my alarm. “Akira , relax! We’re just having a drink. Elora was telling us about her trip last year. You should join us.”

Akira was almost ready when she heard the doorbell ring and ran to get the door . She was wearing a beautiful peach colored line dress which was accentuating her features . She wore matching sneakers to complement her look . She had her hair in loose curls and was looking nothing less than a pretty peach . When she opened the door, she found Vikram holding a bouquet of baby's breath which was Akira's favorite thing in the world . He was dressed in casuals but still looked like a fashion model who has jumped straight out of a catalog .

Luna placed the tuna sandwich in front of me before they started pigging out with the pasta and chips. “Oh,” Luna cried, making us all look at her. “Roux, this is Akira. I know you don’t like people but Aki is part of our circle so we decided to bring him here. Aki, this is Roux.” My gaze fell on Akira. I assumed that Akira is a girl. He’s still watching me with those pair of piercing eyes like he’s trying to decode me. He put down his coke and offer me his hand which I just stared at. Luna and Lucas exchanged awkward glances. Finally, Lucas shook his hand for me. Akira didn’t say anything.
