Akutagawa X Atsushi Beast Novels & Stories

But maybe I was the strange one. “Is everything okay?” he asked once he finished his presentation and let Kamelia, our marketing leader, take over the next part. Today, we were discussing a follow-up campaign for our new product line—this time focusing on young artists and a packaging design competition for Erbeauty’s new makeup series. I looked up from my notes. “Ah, yes,” I nodded quickly, before realizing it was a weird gesture. “I only tried to listen to your presentation.” “I thought there was something on my face,” he whispered with a teasing look.

A loud and eerie growl resonated in the entire place – causing the celebration to slightly stop a bit. However, they shrugged it all off and continued their drinking spree. It walked towards a huge and familiar wolf… no, it was a beast… A beast that it longed to see again. “Finally, you are awakened…”

Ultimately, he fought Titan Ape and managed to defeat it using only his physical strength, compelling it to submit and agree to join. The other was a Phantom Cat, an exceedingly rare variant species. There might have been just a handful across the entire Asgard Plains, and it was likely the only one that had reached the apex overbeast realm. The Phantom Cat was small, with its entire body cloaked in black fur, including its dark eyes. It moved with complete silence, blending into the night. The Phantom Cat had a challenging growth journey before reaching the apex overbeast level. Its attack power was quite weak, making it a beast that specialized in nighttime assassination.

Only another sound—a deep, low growl—escaped. No. No, no, no— He lifted a hand to his face, except— They weren’t hands. Massive paws met his line of sight, claws glinting faintly in the low light. His pulse spiked. He scrambled backward on instinct, limbs moving awkwardly, his hind leg jerking up to scratch furiously at his side like an itching pup. “What the fuck is going on!?” Atticus’s thoughts spiraled, words lost to the beast his body had become. His chest heaved. His senses screamed.

The mate bond hummed with Kael's conflicted emotions—jealousy, fear, possessiveness, and underneath it all, something that might have been hurt. "You called me a beast," he said finally. "You acted like one." "I acted like a mated male protecting what's his." "There's a difference?" I laughed bitterly. "Dr. Ashford is trying to help us, and all you can see is a threat to your ownership." "Maybe because I know what men like him want." "Men like him? You mean kind men? Respectful men? Men who don't remind me every day that I'm something they bought and paid for?"

He snarls as my puke hits his pelt, but he doesn't slow down. "Close eyes," he orders, and I quickly obey. My world goes dark, and my brain zeros in on my pain again. Nathan. My Love is gone. The forest I dreamed of seeing took him, and I wasn't allowed to follow. Sobbing once again becomes my sole focus, and the beast carrying me doesn't say anything else. His arm does tighten, though, and my face buries into his fur. His hand holding me goes from an aggressive grip to a firm hold. It's as if he understands my pain.

“But, for the glory of God, I beg you: do what Noah asked and let me get you and your brother to safety…” The sound of screams of pure despair interrupted him and, at the same instant, the three of us turned to see a group of women, children, and elderly people running in despair, while the moonlight reflected off the armor of a single gigantic wolf. “Fuck!” Atticus grunted through clenched teeth, his whole body tensing as he watched our warriors, most of them young, charge toward the intruder.

"Let's go. Never seen that kind of performance before." … When I arrived at the center, I realized my life had been dull until this moment. The center, like its name suggested, was filled with all kinds of beastfolk. Adorable rabbits, seductive foxes, imposing wolf-dogs, outgoing and cheerful puppies, and more. This was heaven. The beastfolk were performing on the stage with all they had, showing off their charm as best as they could. The performer with the highest votes would be crowned Best Beastfolk Star, and they'd be awarded with a handsome amount of prize money.

These were the only human friends he has had from middle school. “How come you both argue whenever you meet?” asks Mitsuru. “He looks like my doppelganger from a parallel universe!” “She looks like my doppelganger from a parallel universe! Stop copying me!” “Shut up! You copied me first!” “You wanna settle this in a better way?” “Sure… I’ll take you on anytime, any day!” says Ayame with a grin. “Don’t cry after you lose.” Says Akihiko with a smirk. They go to their clubroom and have their lunch there. Before the lunch, Akihiko goes up against Ayame in the RPG game he usually played… And completely destroys her.
