Novel & Cerita Alaska Fiction

They were oddly familiar. “Where have I heard those same words?” “I’m sure it’s no one in particular. Now, you must go on.” Alvah started walking away from her. “Wait, can’t I at least get some water?” “I’ll send in some apples.” “Apples?” “They’re juicy and won’t have you going to the bathroom every now and then. Now read!” She sighed, finally looking at all the books piled up in front of her. “Right.”

Rose’s Point of View After hours of flying, we finally arrived in Alaska—hundreds of kilometers away from the Blue Lagoon Pack. Everything about this place felt different, almost like stepping into another world. The crisp air hit me as soon as we left the airport, the cold wind biting against my skin. Unlike the sweltering heat back at the Blue Lagoon Pack, Alaska had a permanent chill. Even at its warmest, the temperature here never rose above sixteen degrees Celsius. I had always struggled with the heat, so I imagined I would fall in love with this place.

I was tempted to go and look at it myself but I had to trust the inspector was thorough. RING RING RING “You better have something,” I said, answering. “We just got word she ditched her car and bought a truck, but we have the plate number for that one. I’m getting a flight now,” he said. “A flight? Where did she go,” I said, getting to my feet and pacing. “Alaska, her car is in Alaska,” he said, and I stopped suddenly. “What the hell is up there,” I asked. “Not sure, I mean some wolves live in packs, you know isolated. Maybe she’s got family up there. Maybe the mom is her family who knows,” he said.

Well, there are so many reasons that I don’t even know from which one to begin. First and foremost , I lived in this god forsaken deadbeat of a town. God, how I hate this town. How I curse my damn luck for having the unfortunate fate of being born and raised here. Where is here you ask? I will tell you. I live in an extremely small town called ‘Snow’. It is a town with a population of around 500 people, located in Alaska; more specifically, located within a collection of mountains that spread all the way across the border between America and Canada.

"The Great Demise: The Fall of the Moon Goddess" I turn to the first page, thankful for the late afternoon light that stretches in through the broken roof above me. Skimming over the words, I decide I should take the book back with me to read it more in-depth. The inscription in the beginning tells me that it is the history of the Alaskan pack, which is exactly why I came here. Shoving the book into my backpack, I pull the straps tight onto my shoulders before carefully stepping out of the rubble at my feet until I am outside. Going downhill takes much less time than going uphill, and I make it to the broken truck in no time.

Alaska was just like a medieval - modern town. It had the characteristics of what made up a city, with schools, electricity and most social amenities present in the town, but then the presence of witches, wizards werewolves and vampires, as well as the numerous rituals and happenings that went on in Alaska made it more medieval and going ages back in time. He had heard so many rumors too, about the kind of clothing they wore, how they behaved, the distribution and characterization of pack houses, the distinct clans far and near, as well as the insane blood rituals that happened over there, and everything just felt surreal.

Nina asked as soon as Julia left the room. "It's nice," I replied, deciding it was best not to be completely forthright. "The wildlife in Alaska is so beautiful. Definitely make sure Tyce brings you out to see it. And the winters are majestic. Sure, the sun doesn't rise for several weeks, but the northern lights are spectacular. And our full moon runs are unparalleled during the winter months. We hunt the night before, and throw huge parties, roasting our kill over open flames with live music and dancing the night of the run. You and Tyce will be leading them, of course."
