Alex Cross Novels & Stories

"And stop screeching. Your voice is going up three octaves. You sound like a squeaky tea kettle." "A squeaky tea kettle?!" Damon slammed his palm against the horn as he cut off a yellow taxi. The horn blared, echoing through the evening drizzle. "Alex Cross isn't some corner pickpocket with a pocket knife, Roxie! He runs illegal harbor cargo, half the city's private loan desks, and three underground fighting rings! He has fifty armed psychopaths waiting in that warehouse! You don't just show up on his doorstep with two fists and a broken burner phone!"

Alexa whispered. "Why don't you introduce us, Peter? the man said with a smirk. "Well, she's my secretary, Alexandria Akins, Alexa meets the big boss, CEO of Cross Cooperationn, Mr. Xander Cross," Peter introduced. 'Stop making me feel awkward!!, oh my goodness, you've finally done it Alexa you're gonna lose your job,' she said inwardly. "Uh...I've gotta go," Alexa said while scrambling away from them. 'You can run but you can't hide, I'm finally gonna get my revenge,' Xander said as his pink lips curved upwards.

I whimpered and gulped. He was really going to reject me! "I, Xander, the future... Alpha of the Red Moon, hereby re...ject you, Lena." I watched his breath change. His eyes fluttered constantly, as if he was forcing those words out. My eyes were filled with tears as my heart became so heavy, my teeth were clenched together to force back the loud sob about to escape my lips. His eyes fell on mine, and he looked away sharply. "I, Xander, the future Alpha of the Red Moon Pack, reject you, Lena, as my..." The knife fell off his shivering hand.

A hand swiftly caught my elbow, steadying me with a frustrated growl. "If you're not going to take the Advil or hydrate yourself then, at the very least, sit the fuck down because I don't plan on being your crutch," he seethed, picking me up and setting me on the cool countertop. Ace began tapping my cheek lightly, "come on, focus baby and just drink the damn water." He, then, grabbed the glass of water on the table and took a large sip of it, "See, I haven't put anything in it. If I wanted to kill you, I wouldn't drug you. That would show up in a toxicology report."

ALPHA MAX EPILOGUE Jayla Black POV "I'm already married, you piece of shit!" I smacked my student head as I was walking around the classroom. "You can leave your husband for me.' Braxton, one of my student, wiggled his eyebrows playfully. "Do you think he will let me do that?" I asked with a smirk. "Dude, her husband is Maxwell Black." His friend chuckled, I laughed and looked at his priceless face. I can't believe that Max made himself popular even in the human world.

Karis, says meanwhile Alexandra who knew it was true nods her head. "So, what's the colour of the day?" Alexandra heard Karis asks, before drifting back to her thoughts. Involuntarily biting her lower lips, she nearly lets out a small moan, but gets hold of herself in time. Slowly wondering if it was the effect of the series she had just watched. She had just finished watching an episode in Elite, it was a steamy scene. Maybe that would have fueled her desires, because she was damn horny right now, and couldn't think straight, she wasn't even listening to Ruby and Karis conversation again.

It was just before dawn when Alex went to the kitchen to make some coffee. He was still wearing his jeans and shirt from the day before. He couldn't sleep and wanted to get an early start looking for Arystyn. Just then he heard something and peeked around the edge of the door just in time to see Austin sneaking out the back door. Alex grabbed his keys and followed quietly so as not to alert Austin that he had seen him. Austin was in his car backing out of the driveway. Alex jumped into his own car and started it and followed Austin from a safe distance.

Here also says that he manifested great religiosity throughout his life, but there is a detail that doesn't add up to me. Alex was born some century before Christ, he should therefore be a worshiper of the ancient Greek gods, however he wears a crucifix around his neck and not just any but a silver one. From there two doubts assail me. Can vampires be Christians and isn't silver supposed to be deadly to them? My eyes return to the cell phone screen.

The Alpha smiled as he stood up from his seat walking slowly towards me. "I..." I shuttered not knowing what to say seeing the Alpha walk towards me. "Evelyn, no need to bother about formalities, just call me Ethan." The Alpha smiled immediately when he got to me. "I...." I shuttered feeling rather confused wondering why the Alpha was acting rather strangely. Did he fall in love with me at first sight or what the hell was happening?
