Alexandra Bracken Books Novels & Stories

Alexandria I wake up with a huge headache and I have also come to realize I am no longer in my bedroom; I am trying to stay calm but the way my surroundings look makes it difficult right now. I am in some dark room. It smells like mold and rust all around me, when I try to move my arms, something burns my wrists and ankles. I must be chained up with silver, that could be the only reason why it hurts so bad. I try to call out to my wolf, but she is nowhere to be heard. I can’t sense her at all, I hope she has just retreated to the depth of my mind. I just wish she would say something to me, let me know she hasn’t abandoned me.

Alexandra demanded, his eyes blazing with anger. I shook my head, feeling embarrassed and ashamed. "It's not what it looks like," I said, trying to explain. But Alexandra wasn't listening. He was too busy glaring at Bryan, his fists clenched at his sides. "Stay away from her, Bryan," Alexandra warned, his voice low and menacing. "If you ever touch her again, you'll regret it. I am warning you." Bryan smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. “She didn’t tell you? Did she?” he said, his lips spreading into a mischievous smile.

The spy said. "What is it?" Alexander asked. "A lady came to visit them. Her name is Aleah. I think she is Maxmillian knight's sister." "What?" Alexander yelled, standing up from the chair he sat on which was inside the wine bar. "Maxmillian knights have a sister?" he asked. "Yes sir, but that is not all," the spy said. "What else?" Alexander asked curiously. "There is a book she gave to Maxmillian knight. Although I don't know what the book entails or the content of the book, she told him never to let the book fall into the wrong hands. I think the book says a lot about Werewolves." The spy said.

It seemed to radiate a faint magical aura. Curiosity getting the better of them, Alex picked up the book. Its cover was adorned with intricate runes and symbols, and the title read, "The Chronicles of Destiny: A Hero's Journey." The pages within were filled with tales of chosen heroes who had risen to face great challenges. As they read through the stories, a sense of connection and purpose washed over Alex. It was as if these heroes from different realms were speaking directly to them, urging them to embrace their own destiny. With the book in hand, Alex sought the wisdom of the town's sage, Mrs. Evelyn, known for her knowledge of the mystical and arcane. She lived in a cozy cottage on the

Braxton's eyes kept flickering between his normal green, and that of his wolf, which was amber. Blackberries and cinnamon, please tell me that is not your mate's scent! I ask and silently pray that it is not his mate's scent. The atmosphere becomes less hostile, and I can see that the Alpha is calming down. No, that is not my mate's scent! I blew out a shaky breath and looked around as we sat. I see that Heath looks nervous and confused. I will talk to him later about what happened. I looked at the table and saw a small black woman's wallet with a red rose embroidered on the front. It must belong to whoever was here before us.

Not that I could do anything to her, other than hurling sharp remarks at each other. ‘Of course you can't.’ Her voice was low, almost like a whisper in my head. It was all I could do not to picture a smirking wolf. ‘Stop reading my thoughts already.’ I hissed at her as I moved to stand up from my kneeling position. ‘You and I both know I can't, but I can actually try, sorry, pretend not to hear only if you behave like a good girl and agree to be Alpha Axton's bride.’ ‘Dream on.’ I muttered outloud. ‘If you don't shut up, I swear, I will shut our communication walls.’

The city beyond the alley was waking: sirens dopplering closer, helicopters thudding overhead, but here, in this crater of our making, time was a held breath, a heartbeat skipped, a promise broken. I reached for the book. The cover bit me. Not metaphor. Teeth: tiny, needle-sharp, made of red thread, sank into my fingertips, drawing blood that the leather drank like a sponge. The title flared, the letters rearranging into a new line: ALEXANDER KANE: THE FIRST BET. Elena’s gasp was a knife to my gut. “Alexander, don’t…”

The silence in the sitting room, seemed short-lived, because Madison began conversing immediately, meanwhile Alexandra heads to the kitchen, without uttering another word. ________________________🖊 Once Alexandra gets into the kitchen, she heads to the fridge. Without uttering a word, she pulls out a chi exotic flavoured drink. It seemed chilled, she carefully placed it on the island, now heading to get a tray and few glasses. On getting there, she puts everything in order, before moving back to the Island. She places everything on the tray, an attempt to step out, she remembers something, which makes her pause for a while, before dropping the tray on the Island.

"I was just curious nothing else." Florentia smirked, sliding into the seat beside her. "Curiosity can be dangerous, you know." Alexandra hesitated, then shrugged. "So is ignorance." Florentia chuckled, impressed by the sharp reply of Alexandra. "Fair point." She glanced at the title of the book: Theories of Wolf Awakening. Alexandra was searching for answers, and Florentia is already aware of what Alexandra is trying to search.
