Marked From Birth

Marked From Birth

But as they crossed the final ridge of the Frost-Spine mountains, the landscape changed from the grey of ash to a blinding, crystalline white. They had reached the Sea of Salt. This was a dead zone—a five-hundred-mile expanse of salt-flats where the sun reflected off the ground with such intensity that it could sear the retinas of anyone caught without protective quartz-tinted goggles. In the old world, it was the "Great Barrier" that kept the North and South apart. Now, it was the first true test of the mobile city.

 NELLIE AND NAOMI

NELLIE AND NAOMI

He walked toward the sea slowly, like someone who knows there is no return, and stopped at the water’s edge. Without turning back, he said: > “The island is no longer ours… and the sea knows us better.” He jumped. He did not return. When Salma realized his voice was gone, that the sea had swallowed him as it had swallowed her screams, she did not hesitate. She jumped after him. It was not escape… it was pursuit. In the morning, it was said the sea was unusually calm, as if it had swallowed a sorrow

Crown of Blood and Moonlight

Crown of Blood and Moonlight

And always, always, the same scent lingered in my senses. Salt. Deep water. And something else—something richer, sharper.Male. Every time, it left me gasping. Maya noticed, of course. She always did. “You’re distracted,” she murmured, curling her legs beneath her as we sat on the cliff’s edge one afternoon. The sea roared below us, white spray leaping high enough to kiss our faces. I forced a laugh. “Just tired.” Her gaze was too knowing, though. She touched the

Lured By The Cursed Alpha

Lured By The Cursed Alpha

The sea died because Al wasn't here anymore. I sat down on the cliff, right where Al sat when I first met him here. It was a good spot. It pointed out over the sea and if you face the right angle, you can't see anything else but the blue waves shaking in front of you. It lured you to jump over. Hours passed, and the bright sun flew over my head, dashing right at the dark blue horizon. I had to go. That was the moment when horror's cold hands hit me--

Yeah this is really good. I thought the results of 10/10 was a bit dramatic but this is very well written. Firstly it’s not predictable, which I love, but there seems to be a lot of things under the surface that the author has considered since the start. I can’t wait for it to be finished!

The Return of the War Legate

The Return of the War Legate

Alfie tossed and turned, then looked out at the dark and calm waves outside his window. The wind was calm. The water wasn’t always turbulent, sometimes even appearing rather serene. At this moment, the sea seemed exceptionally deep under the moonlight, so deep that it felt somewhat unsettling. Suddenly, Alfie noticed a slender, fair hand clinging to the windowsill and went wide-eyed. The hand was clearly that of a woman’s, and it was too pale. The moonlight showed that it lacked any trace of blood.

Fall In Love, My Billionaire CEO

Alfred smiled at the young lady before taking the paper from her hands. “Young miss, the young master doesn't like seafood,” Alfred said, his brows creasing in worry. “Oh? Is he allergic to it?” She raised a brow. This was the first time she had heard of it. “No, no.” Alfred stroked his chin. “When he was young, he would always eat the seafood prepared for him by his grandmother, but now she is gone. Since then, the young master has refused to eat seafood.” “That's unfortunate.” Alyssa rested her hands on her hips. Her cooking skills had always been praised, so there was confidence rising within her.

Mates at War: A Battle of Hearts

Mates at War: A Battle of Hearts

“Fine. Get it done.” Relief washed over me as I reached for the bag of salt, pulling out the bottle Althea had given me, hidden securely within my boobs. My hands trembled as I uncorked the vial, pouring half of its contents into the salt. The dark liquid seeped into the grains, staining them. Even a small amount could kill dozens, but I wasn’t taking any chances. Gripping the bag tightly, I began to drag it toward the pots, ready to finish the task. But a sharp voice cut through the air, freezing me in place.

Cursed by the Gods: Rise of Phoenix

“This is the village of the fishermen. This is where their families stay until they are ready to transport the fishes and salt to the main kingdom.” “What is salt?” Helena asked with a furrowed brow. “Those white crystals you saw us pick from the shore are salt. The women will work on cleaning them and then transport them to Eyrotia.” After a moment's silence Demeus leaned in again. “You said you only wanted to explore. I suppose your family should be waiting for you in Jamark.” Oh, she had completely forgotten about that lie. But she didn’t even know Jamark. She could teleport herself there but being with these people was very tempting.

Shadow Love Book Two

“Have you run into Heloise at all since you’ve arrived?” “I’ve been hanging around here,” Alfred said nonchalantly. “Is she still in the area? You can’t possibly want to go near that she-wolf. She’s nothing but trouble.” Martin focused on slathering barbeque sauce on the chicken. “Why would you say that?” “You know that she lured me into her bed with a drug,” Alfred said in a voice just above a whisper. “It cost me a century of friendship with Nick.”

Under the Dragon's Protection

Under the Dragon's Protection

Implied Smut. The salty water washed its foam around their feet as their eyes gazed at the mesmerizing sunset. After an exquisite lunch, Iris found herself being led out of the house by Dom and towards the beach. The weather wasn't particularly sunny, but it was perfectly cloudy enough to walk in the not-so-hot sand barefoot and roam around without sunglasses or hats. The salty sea wind blew through their hair and clothes, and Iris felt a sense of euphoria she had always yearned for.
