Alice trailed her like always, with her perfect blonde braid and eyes sharp like frost.
Loveth spotted me before I could slip past.
Of course she did.
“Oh, look, it’s the stray omega,” she called, loud enough for people to glance.
I lowered my eyes and kept walking.
“Novah, wait!” Alice’s voice followed. “You dropped something!”
I turned, confused, just in time for a rolled-up piece of paper to hit my chest and fall to the ground. I stooped to pick it up, and as I unrolled it, I saw the crude sketch—me, in wolf form, but exaggerated and ridiculous. My ears too big, tail drooping, tongue hanging stupidly.
