When you both reach the spacious living room, your eyes instantly fall to the three figures settled above the white puffy carpeted floor a few feet away from a modernized fire-heater. With a soft smile, your mom gives you a hug, whispering a faint I'll bring you something to eat before walking away to disappear somewhere around this five-thousand pieces of puzzle-like mansion. Great. You internally drawl to yourself, body suddenly flinches when you feel something-well maybe a someone hugging your feet. When you look down, a lump forms in your throat. There's a pair of huge ebony eyes looking up at you in a way that sends a shudder down your spine, and its face's holding way too much curiosit

'We will find another way' Alice said softly as I held my head in my hands crying. I must have sat crying on and off for a few hours, as it was now dark and I noticed less people floating about the hallways. I've spend the day going through situations in my mind. Ways to escape without being seen. All my thoughts though, led me back to the boy in the woods. I was convinced he wasn't real. He can't be. Like Alice, he was in my had too. The whole wolf thing is just a side effect from being hit hard in the head.

Alice breaks the hug to avoid obvious suspicions. She looked across the room and sure enough the parents were looking at her with a knowing eyes only Cammy was oblivious to. Alice's face tinted red as she smiled shyly and ran to grab the cake on the table. Sandra lit the candles and they all asked Alice to make a wish. Alice smiles at their enthusiasm and closes her eyes with her palm folded in front of her face. Her eyelashes fluttered as she closed her eyes,raising her brows softly as though desperately pleading for something,the corner of her lips arched into a soft smile.

As Alice’s story of the valiant princess came to an end, Carmen was enveloped in a strange sensation. It was like a sudden surge of electricity that made her head spin with the intensity of déjà vu. She couldn’t shake the feeling that she had seen this little girl before, but where?

“You just climbed Mount Everest. This is a piece of cake, Alice. Let’s go to Wonderland.” She found it odd that he mentioned Alice in Wonderland after her thoughts earlier in the day. “I think I’m more Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. I found out I’m happier settled at home than on grand adventures.” She looked into his steel blue eyes. A stark contrast to Sean’s beautiful, brown eyes, but lovely nonetheless.

She quickly stood up and out of the tub, took a tower, and wrapped it around her body, out of the bathroom she went. "Alice, are you ok?"
