But, I was unprepared for the sight before my eyes when I faced the room. The first thing I saw was the back of a red-haired head bobbing up and down behind a large, sleek wooden desk. The Alpha uttered a low groan and placed his large hand on the red hair. His shirt was unbuttoned and his eyes were closed with his head thrown back in wanton ecstasy. My eyes shot wide open and I blushed deeply as I realised what was going on behind that desk. Suddenly, the Alpha's eyes shot open and latched onto mine. His smouldering gaze caused my tummy to jump even as disgust slid through me.

Nothing seemed to speak to me, not a single drawing not a single word. Sighing I slammed the book shut. “This is a waste of time,” I said out loud. Walking to the window I looked down at the yard below knowing that I, just like I had always been, was nothing but normal. Well except for Lucien, there was nothing normal about him. How I ever was chosen to be his mate was beyond me. Maybe Aunt Violet had hoodoo’ed that shit. Laughing I walked over to a bookshelf to see what books she had stacked on the shelves. As I approached a small ornate wooden box started shaking. Letting out a gasp I jumped back and it stopped. Almost immediately my phone started ringing.

Laura POV I leave Luther and walk back to our small castle in the middle of the fairy tribe lands. The small tinks follow me and tease me as I walk back to tell my parents about the invites. Alice asks as she holds the tray in her hands to offer them a muffin. She looks askance at me and then she smiles at the Andersons. Alice might be nervous, but that doesn’t mean she is going to let me “steal” the spotlight away from her. Major Anderson takes a step forward to grab a muffin, but at that moment Wendy comes in running, slaps Alice and knocks the tray over from her hands, scattering all the muffins to the floor. “The slut! The slut wants blueberries! I have blueberries for the slut!” Wendy yells as she laughs hysterically.
