A deafening hiss echoed from the pit, carrying the stench of rotting meat and centuries of stagnant death. Then, the beast rose. It was a Titanoboa, a prehistoric nightmare that shouldn't have existed for sixty million years. It was eighty feet long, its girth thicker than a city bus. But it wasn't just a snake. The Void had resurrected and corrupted it. Its scales were decaying, revealing pulsing veins of liquid dark matter. Its eyes were dead, milky white. "Get the crystal, Elena," Killian’s voice dropped into the demonic, vibrating frequency of his Alpha form. He didn't take his eyes off the monstrous serpent. "I'll handle the worm."

"Let's go. Never seen that kind of performance before." … When I arrived at the center, I realized my life had been dull until this moment.
