His vision went white, then black around the edges. He fell forward. He heard Stacy scream his name—distant, underwater. He heard Myles curse, firing wildly. He heard pounding footsteps. Another thud. A muffled cry—Stacy this time. “Get them in the van,” a voice barked. “All three. Now.” Edward tried to lift his head. Nothing moved. The world spun Bootsteps approached him. A harsh voice muttered above him, “Nighty-night, old man.” Something slammed into the side of Edward’s temple. Everything went silent. The world was dark. Completely and suffocatingly dark.

He nodded and said, “Shall I escort you to your chambers now Madame?” I nodded and together we headed off towards the lower portions of the ship. It was a silent journey and as we walked I reflected on the course of the ship. In the two weeks prior I had flown as instructed to Brazil waited to board the ship docked at the harbor there. As we reached the door of my cabin I took a chance and asked, “Could you at least tell me where we are going?” He paused for a long moment before saying, “I suppose at this point it won’t matter. We are heading for Eden.”

For one impossible moment he could actually see it. The two of them walking away. Holding Emma between them. Going home. Surviving this. The future stretched out in front of him. So even though the exterior was a Toyota Camry, the engine and speed was more or less like a muscle car. Edward knew that it would take him just ten to eleven minutes if he used ten percent of the car's capacity, but he gave her a twenty minutes distance which was the standard time he would spend to get to where she was. That way, he would make her relived and happy Nd even more dependent on him because he showed more than he promised.

However, after they were packed into the gift bags, the car trunks didn't have enough space anymore. Ophelia wanted him to bring her a truck that could carry all of them over in one go, but Edward refused. He thought that this didn't match her princess status. Thus, after giving it a moment's thought, Edward ordered his assistant to round up ten employees from their company. Then, he instructed them to each drive one of his ten prized cars sitting in his garage to the TV station. All of a sudden, there were Land Rovers, Rolls Royces, Buicks, and BMWs parked outside the TV station.

That meant that Axe and I would be jumping out soon.

He cleared his voice, feeling a little bit ashamed of himself for showing such raw hunger over her body, before finally saying, “Mmh, sorry about the bumping into you. Edward removed his earbud and put on an EarPod. He started playing a sorrowful piano sound, silence ensued in the car as his minions kept exchanging nervous gazes. They knew that his initially enthusiastic mood had dwindled so they all kept quiet. “What are the Harris cunts up to?” He said to the man sitting by his side.
