Unraveled Destinies

Unraveled Destinies

“You are just trouble, Jaxson. I moved to hug him and he pulled me closer, pressed me to his chest, and gave me a kiss on the head. “Good night, Jane. I didn't reply; I stood still and watched as he entered his car and drove off. I entered my house and shut the door. I leaned on the door with my back and I slowly dropped to the ground. Jaxson smelled like the first time we met; his palms were so soft and the hug was everything. I started to caress my body because I wanted to feel him again, but as usual, one tiny creature that sprung from me five years ago ruined my moment. “Mommy, I need water. “O my god, Keene, you scared me; why are you up so late? “I heard you talking to someone, Mom; wa

The Day Everything Changed

The Day Everything Changed

Now that he had fallen, everyone who had suffered came forward with company secrets. I did not know who had filed the complaint, but I figured they must have had no other choice. After all, no one would risk their future like that without being pushed to the edge. Nonetheless, I was not surprised that people were eager to kick him while he was down. Then again, it no longer concerned me. I packed my bags, planning to travel with Mom's favorite necklace, and decided to visit our regular restaurant one last time. From a distance, I noticed a strange woman dragging herself along the sidewalk. She was not walking—more like she was crawling.

The Ninth Cipher

The Ninth Cipher

The Stranger answered quietly, "No." "He simply chose for himself." The White Book resting inside the heart of the ancient tree slowly opened by itself. Its pages turned gently. Not from wind. From memory. One page after another revealed stories Adrian had never seen. A kingdom where no wars had ever been fought. A world where Thomas never discovered the Ninth Cipher. A future where Edward died protecting a child whose name history had forgotten. Every page carried another possibility. Every possibility had once been real. Adrian reached the final page.

Notes from a Broken Future

Notes from a Broken Future

Joshua never came home that night. Early the next morning, I started packing. After four years here, my stuff had spread into every corner of the apartment. I packed it up piece by piece. Some went into boxes. Some went in the trash. Some got shipped home. As the warm, messy apartment slowly emptied, my eyes still burned. Mom called. "Why are you sending all this junk back? I'm throwing it out. Nostalgia is cheap. When it's time to let go, let go." She probably already knew about me and Joshua.

Let Them All Burn

Let Them All Burn

If one looked farther still, they would see Lake Genivia reflected sunlight like scattered gold. I leaned back into my seat and closed my eyes. The cold and despair from that freezer in my past life had finally faded away. Those who were responsible for that cold had been consumed by the poison they brewed themselves. From now on, my future would be one lined with warmth.

The Billionaire’s Discarded Bride

The Billionaire’s Discarded Bride

Like we were just three people who loved each other, not a single mother hiding from her son's father and the best friend trying to keep her from breaking completely. "And Max the king of all wild things was lonely and wanted to be where someone loved him best of all," Maya read, her voice softening at the end. "Then all around from far away across the world he smelled good things to eat, so he gave up being king of where the wild things are." Tom's eyes were drooping, and I moved to take him from Maya's lap."Come on, baby. Time for bed." "I don't want to sleep yet," Tom mumbled, but he didn't resist as I carried him to his room. "Aunt Maya, you'll be here tomorrow?"

All… For My Daddies!

All… For My Daddies!

“Tomorrow? But… it’s New Year. Can’t you at least wait until after New Year? You can’t expect me to stay in this big house all alone.” Mom gave me that soft, understanding smile she always used when she was about to say something I wouldn’t like. “Sweetheart, we’ve already booked everything. It’s only for a few days. You’re eighteen now, and we trust you.” “Trust me?” I argued, my voice rising a little. “This house is huge. What if something happens? What if I get scared or… or lonely? You’re just going to leave me here by myself?” Dad leaned back in his chair, looking a little guilty but still determined. “Princess, your mom and I need this. We’ve been stuck on screens and work for months.

ABOVE ALL

ABOVE ALL

I sit on the soft bed and attract my luggage in front of me, then carry it to the bed to arrange each things in their respective place. While putting my laptop on the working bedside, I notice a window in front of me. I draw the curtain and leave myself invade into the beautiful view I have, and fortunately the most beautiful view I love. The stars! I love staring at the stars, when looking at them it seems am talking to them. Funny but true! They give me the solution to all and because of them I had a revolution (objectives + dreams=principles) and that is why I had always been a girl full of principles and rules.

The book has potential but needs major editing. I, myself is not so good in English too but I still write. The trick is knowing how to use simple words and research a lot..good luck with your work😇😇😇.

While the writing might need some editing, one cannot deny that the author is a gifted storyteller. She writes in a way that you can feel the main character, Tiara's anguish when she chooses her father over her mother and brother. Am definitely going to add this to my library.
