Curious. But tomorrow, they would understand everything. Tomorrow, our worlds would become one. Tomorrow… history would be rewritten.

The pocket

The pocket

The silence was punctuated only by our quiet murmurs, our shared yearning for a past we never knew, a future we desperately wished for. Later, amidst the twisted metal and rubble, James stumbled upon a tattered book, its cover mostly torn away, revealing only a few words—'The Chronicles of Atheria'. The title alone conjured images of a world far removed from our own, a place of magic and wonder, of brave knights and epic quests. The pages, brittle with age and decay, contained fragmented stories, glimpses of a civilization that had flourished before the catastrophe. It spoke of vibrant cities, of advanced technology, and of a society that lived in harmony with its environment.

Three Years Ahead: My Future Self Turned Me Ruthless

Three Years Ahead: My Future Self Turned Me Ruthless

The moment I opened the door back home and saw Olivia, the weight in my chest finally settled. Olivia's eyes lit up instantly. She trotted toward me and wrapped her arms around mine. "Mommy, what brings you home so early?" I wrapped my arms around Olivia, stroking her soft hair. According to the Dezarae from three years in the future, Olivia would fall from a building in three hours' time. Just to be safe, I had to bring Olivia around with me the whole time. "Liv, come to work with me today, okay? I'll buy a strawberry cake for you."

Dead Weight

Dead Weight

Something containable. Tomorrow they scout. Tomorrow they solve the impossible by breaking it into ugly, heavy, movable pieces. Tomorrow they build.

A Home After All

A Home After All

The air still smelled faintly sweet. Everything was there. Only I was not. Noah heard them come in and turned over in his sleep, mumbling, "Lily," before sinking back down. I floated to his bed and tried to tuck in his blanket. My hand passed through it. Mom set down my suitcase and opened my bedroom door. The room was exactly as I had left it. The comforter folded neatly. The unfinished homework on the desk. The little plant on the windowsill with a tiny new sprout.

The Day Mom Burned My Future

The Day Mom Burned My Future

Mom was a notorious madwoman at the card table. Her favorite pastime was going off the rails whenever she got worked up while gambling. During our family dinner, Mom's older sister, Tiffany Walker, praised me for being diligent and well-behaved. She said that I was bound to have a promising future now that I'd gotten into a top-tier university. Mom immediately slammed the table and snapped back, "What are you talking about, Mel? A young man like Frank who'd studied STEM still couldn't get into Horvard University. He's practically a failure!

Against all odds

Against all odds

And everything was so awful so far, we did lose one of us so the pain was immeasurable; but it is so hard to think or even be sure that Rita is doing ok and she is not in danger. I decided to close this chapter, the chapter „what if” and open a new one, the „is going to be” chapter. All of my remaining friends were still here to help me. I am very lucky and Rita too for having so many people who cared so much that they are willing to go to the very end of Earth itself just to save her. VELVET GUN

VELVET GUN

“Yes. The future… it’s ours to shape. And we will. Every single day.” As evening fell, the mansion glowed with warmth and quiet celebration. Families gathered in small clusters, laughter and soft conversations filling the air. The weight of secrets had lifted, replaced by honesty, love, and the intricate bonds of loyalty. Ellie’s hand rested over her belly once more, a serene smile crossing her face. Tomorrow… and every day after, they would continue to build this life. The mansion, once a fortress of tension and hidden dangers, had become a home—a sanctuary. And within that sanctuary, Ellie felt the strongest truth of all: no matter the whispers, the rumors, or the world outside, here, insi

World of Tomorrow

World of Tomorrow

“It will be much like it was at the World’s Fair opening, Evelyn. Simply follow my lead. Can you do that?” Evelyn’s pulse kicked up a notch. Their trip to the World’s Fair had been like visiting an alternate existence. It went beyond simply politely 'familiar'. That had been an imaginary World of Tomorrow where the natural hierarchy and boundaries of wealth and social status had been erased, like the idealized Democracity or the egalitarian Futurama. Where people attracted to one another were free to explore that gift in each other's company without question.

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

Not because the story ends — the story does not end, the morning keeps coming, the archive keeps growing, the function keeps being practiced by people who care whether the other person is fully received. Tomas will finish the founding archive. Breen's framework will be used. The function will travel to new places. New packs will read the eighth notebook and either recognize what it is or not. Those who recognize it will begin.
