One of my friends asked. "So kind of weird but my wolf is saying this actress Amina Jordan is my mate?" I said looking down at her acting profile. "Wow really?" Someone asked. "I guess?" I said still confused. "Awesome we'll have a famous Luna" a voice said and there were a couple cheers. Kit was growling in my head, maybe he was right with how possessive he was being. "I'll talk to you guys later" I said waving them off and going to look for my parents.

The drawing was crooked: a family of four, all smiling with their eyes squeezed shut. The waiting room was so quiet that the ticking clock on the wall sounded loud.

She stiffens but hugs me gently, patting my back. "We are hugging," she murmurs. Soon after, a cascade of familiar faces fills the doorway, sending a jolt of exhilaration through me. Knox, Lily, Anaiah, Leondre, Blade, Prince Leon, Vicky, and even Luelle—they are all there, well and grown. It is a joyous reunion, though my exuberance seems to startle them slightly. "You're not shy with those hugs, are you?" Lily laughs after I pull away from a tense Uncle Leondre. I look at Nicholas, who stands there with an unwavering smile and eyes brimming with love and deep emotion.

The look on their faces is that of subtle surprise; letting Lenny know Dash didn’t inform them of her attendance. “Surprised to see you back”, Darius is the first one to speak as Dash and Lenny take their seats. It’s a table of 8 and the only face Lenny recognizes is Darius and Arthur. The seat on Lenny’s right is empty. She wonders who is meant to be in it. “The night is still young”, Dash replies evasively to Darius and he shifts his attention to everyone else;

The sound echoed across the room, bouncing off the walls like a final punctuation mark on our collective despair. The dorm looked the same as before—rows of identical bunks lined neatly on both sides, the white glow from the ceiling casting pale reflections on the steel floor. But something was Off. It took me a moment to realize what. There were more people. At least fifty or sixty new faces scattered among us. Their uniforms were the same, yellow and numbered, but theirs carried lower digits—numbers I hadn’t noticed before. I saw one labeled 0103, another 0220, then 0358… and as I scanned the crowd, I caught a glimpse of one that read 0546.

" Give me your hand, Gordon..." ***

I said to myself and opened the faucet then washed my face. Accept the fact that I hate it when my face is too oily that you can cook bae on it. Not bae, babe, but bae, bacon, and eggs. Meh. I looked at myself once more before turning off the faucet, then wiped my face. "Conservative, eh?" "Freaking oreos!" I screamed when somebody spoke and turned off the lights. Shoot. I hate dark places. "Who's there?" I asked, stuttering. "You don't remember me?" My eyes widened when I realized that it was Drey's voice.

they all greeted as I settled in the center of the table. I clasped my palms and regarded their faces. Several familiar faces I had grown to know in the past four years. Those who I remembered to always be poker-faced and solemn, those whose faces were always full of smiles but yet harbored gazes full of venom. And the worst of them all, those that were always neutral and watched on in indifference. I was used to them all.

They are used to talking about serious matters. Kate Lane, Miriam Chudwell, Armie Lee, Katherine Atwood, Liam Branigan, Rupert Greaves and Heather Bennett didn’t find the others intimidating anymore. They have met them before and also had conversations with them back then. To them the only new faces were Nicholas’s sister and cousins, Leopold’s sister and cousins and Harlan Barnes are the ones with great background that would make someone intimidated at first. But later on, they were able to adjust as well.
