Grayson's POV I drank all my brandy in the glass before looking out to my window. The sky is really calm, no traces of thunderstorm. I felt this day is very special and it is indeed. Today is very special day because today is my mother's 17th year death anniversary, which every single memory sink into my mind and hard to forget.

Back home, Jared stepped into what had once been our bedroom. It was now completely transformed by Melody. In a frenzy, he hurled every one of her belongings out the window. The lavish decorations, the expensive clothes, all lay scattered outside like the shattered pieces of his heart. He sat down on the edge of the bed, his hand resting on the spot where I used to sleep, tears welling in his eyes once again. Memories of our time together came flooding back, every detail he had once ignored now becoming vivid.

Marcus's POV I stood at the floor-to-ceiling windows of my office in Murphy Estate, watching the dawn break over Skyview City. The early morning light painted the skyline in shades of gold and amber, but I couldn't appreciate the beauty. My mind was consumed with thoughts of Anna Shaw dangling from that broken railing, her life hanging by a thread.

Tyson smirked. “31 Days.” Chance affirmed. “Which Day was today”? He asked. “Ninth.” Dr. Tyson added. “Twenty two days to go, man I am gonna savor these.” with a devilish smirk, Chance declared.

I stood there watching those statues, I felt it as if they were talking to me, trying to scream something but the man next to me poked me to move on. "Move on...!" As we approached, the unsettling symphony of rustling leaves and distant, echoing owls' deadly calls created an eerie backdrop sending chills down the spine. I raised my eyes looking at the windows, adorned with stained glass, glistening like gems under the pale moon, emitting an ethereal, ever-shifting kaleidoscope of colors that draw you in. Yet, behind those windows, something seems to watch from the darkness within, a presence both alluring and deeply unsettling.

When daddy finds out he's going to skin him. I rolled back onto my side and looked out the window at the tops of the trees in the distance. I didn't know that our windows aren't really windows until today. I could see through other people's windows with the drone, but when I buzzed our house earlier, all I saw was the reflection of the light outside. Daddy had surrounded the whole house with one-way glass.

He growled back, “Then we will safeguard it together. We won’t let him step through. Never.” The shadows hissed and twisted ominously. “Foolish fox! The window will never close completely. One day, she will break…and I will be ready.” The cracks spread across the glass until the entire pane shook violently. Camela pressed her forehead against Vincent's chest and whispered through her tears, “Then I won’t close it or open it…I’ll carry it for as long as I have to.” The shadows froze at her words, and the voice fell silent. Suddenly—a slow, cold laughter echoed all around them. “Yes. Carry me. Carry me forever because the window is never closed.”

"Ma'am, I am willing to forget I saw you this morning if you put a smile on that face of yours and cheer up. I am sure it's not as bad as you think. After all, you met me." "Actually, it's just another day in a sequence of bad days that I have been having. Seems my luck has been having a bit of a slump lately, but your kindness has shown me that not all men our complete assholes." She says while her lips hint at a smile. Glancing out the front window, she notices that it's about to rain. "Just my luck! It looks as if it is just about to downpour." She shuts her mouth before he decides to change his mind.
