A Dark Touch

A Dark Touch

All she saw was darkness, and in a way, she was drawn to it more and more as each day paster her by; it was a simple bliss. However, just like anything good in her life, it didn't last long. The blistering shrieks of an alarm rang through Harlow's ears. In perpetual search for the source, the beautiful brunette found herself in an entanglement within the sheets. Furiously, she shut her clock, and the sudden ear-splitting noise ended abruptly. Overwhelmed, she lay there perplexed.

Her Dark Knight

Her Dark Knight

"Dang it." I look at Shaylee, and she looks at me, shaking her head. "Alright, 'Her Dark Knight' it is. Now we need to figure out what the play will be about," Shaylee says. And once again, Andrew surprises us. "It should be about a wolf who tries to resist his feelings for a human he's imprinted on, but the more time he spends with her, the stronger the pull becomes."

Running With His Heir

Running With His Heir

Heck, I think we already were. “Almost there,” Cal mumbled. Truthfully enough, after a few more steps, he suddenly halted, making me bump into his rock hard back and I moved a few inches backward. “Geez, watch it. It’s so dark here. Can’t you turn on the light?” He lets out a faint chuckle. “There’s a reason there’s nothing but darkness here, oh Dark One.” I can’t see his face, but I can somehow tell he has a stupid smirk on as he enjoys knowing something I don’t.

The Billionaire's Personal Maid

The Billionaire's Personal Maid

Allexin said. Lynda smiled. They enjoyed the movie until it was over. But when the movie was halfway through, the lights suddenly went out. Everything was dark, and Lynda couldn't see anything. Not only that, but the atmosphere was silent, even though Lynda had seen quite a few people there earlier. "Allexin?" Lynda felt for the seat where Allexin was sitting, but he didn't say anything and only held her hand. The silence continued for several minutes. Lynda was increasingly panicked, but she didn't know where to go in the pitch black room. At least she had Allexin, whose hand she could still hold.

Darkness

he hissed. My head whipped around. The alley filled with darkness like it was a liquid. "What the he-," I started. Anton grasped my arm and pulled. The familiar fear I felt earlier gripped my throat. I'd never seen the darkness actually move before. It was coming at me. The soft edges of it blurred out everything as it melted forward. The streetlight above us flickered and buzzed before it shorted out leaving us in complete darkness. "Shit," Anton spat. "Come on." He tugged at my arm.

EX Wife (ENGLISH)

EX Wife (ENGLISH)

I didn’t know how long I had been asleep, but I felt somewhat refreshed, although I still felt weak. I opened the door and walked out of my room, and the dimly lit hallway came into view. The moment I opened the door, lightning flashed across the dark sky, casting light on the dark corridor leading to the stairs down to the living room, and then it quickly returned to darkness. I felt goosebumps crawl across my skin. I felt alone. Really, alone. I also didn’t see any sign of Audrey, or even Dark. Even though I know they’re busy, I have a strange feeling today. It’s like I’m in a horror movie, alone in a creepy mansion surrounded by gloomy atmosphere that envelop the entire place. Though my h

He says with obvious disgust, moving away before another smile comes to his face "Let's see how you work with being left alone in the dark" Alone and Dark has my smile dying "No" He looks finally glad something is breaking me "Yes. Good luck bitch" I quickly crawl to him, ignoring the pain in my belly as I hold his feet "Please! Don't leave me here!" He pulls his feet away and slams it into my face, a gaps leaving my face as I fall to the floor, blood now spilling out of my nose before I hear him leave and lock the door. And then the lights went off.

Tales of the Moonlit Grimoire

Tales of the Moonlit Grimoire

Cool water washed over him, and for a brief moment, all that could be heard was the rushing river around him. ** Aline came across a mysterious figure in a dimly lit, isolated corner of the city. The atmosphere was tense, charged with unfathomable danger. "I want you to kill someone," Aline said calmly but firmly. The figure in the shadows nodded in agreement. Words were superfluous; actions spoke louder. Aline sealed the deadly deal by giving the mysterious person a staggering sum of one million dollars. Living alone had always provided her with a sense of independence, but now it had cloaked her in isolation, providing the ideal fodder for her dark plans.

Dirty Valentine’s Secret

Dirty Valentine’s Secret

"Initiate the Blackout Protocol. If they want to audit me, let’s see how they do it in the dark." Suddenly, every light in the county—the porch light, the SUV's sensors, even the distant town's glow—died. The only thing left was the bioluminescent blue pulsing from the "Chronicle" on the Traveler’s arm in the distance, and the terrifying, silent scream of a mother ready to kill for her child.

The Billionaire's Insignificant Wife

The Billionaire's Insignificant Wife

No way to contact anyone outside these walls. She was completely powerless. *** The light went out at ten PM. Sudden. Complete darkness. Alina's breath caught. She'd been expecting it but the reality was worse than anticipation. Absolute blackness. No windows. No ambient light from anywhere. Just void. She pressed her back harder against the wall. Grounding herself. Reminding herself where she was. That the walls were still there even if she couldn't see them. Breathe. In. Out. In. Out.

It's abuse, after abuse, no justice, nothing. I just hope that this is NOT one of those stories with endless chapters. it's becoming boring! Beside they know that the husband is powerfull and capable of anything, THEY SHOULD THINK AHEAD!
Ashleigh Bell
Brilliant book. Captivating and heartbreaking. As a mother, it really hits the feels, as a woman it angers me so much, and as a human I just want it to end but in the best way. I highly recommend this book and I am looking forward to the conclusion
