“Perfect.” Although Shay gave me the impression that most meals at the packhouse are informal and communal, Alpha Cole set up a stuffy sit-down dinner for us in the dining room, complete with a two-person waitstaff to deliver each course. Everyone knew that Friday night was pizza and movie night. Blaise and Sam had just hooked up the new sixty-five-inch wide screen TV in our den. Alpha had bought it for us for passing our finals. He even added surround sound. Movie night just got an upgrade. Blaise was on the phone trying to order the pizzas, but everyone wanted something different. I wanted a combo with pineapple. For now I don't make any changes in the pack structure. Firstly I think we all need to get used to my father not being here, and as he died relatively young, no one is really near retirement age, not even for werewolves. The alphas and other high ranking members of the other packs attend the funeral, and while some do look at me a little funny when I am introduced as the new Alpha, at least they all treat me with respect face to face.

I made note to discuss this further with him once I had a better handle on the current situation. Neil replied. “The Alpha, Luna, and Beta left to visit another pack. We aren’t sure which pack, but they left roughly two days ago. The Delta was left in charge.” He paused but continued. “For what it’s worth, I like Delta Jeremy. He seems like a decent guy despite the Alpha and Beta. It might be worthwhile to take advantage of the Alpha and Beta being gone and pay the Delta a visit.” I nodded in agreement. “If the Delta is a decent guy, then I agree, we need to go there now and see what we can find out.”
