THREE YEARS AGO There's a big party going on in the biggest hotel in the town. A big celebration was going on there. Everyone was happy because they found their new leader who was truly deserving. They couldn't be happier. Alpha Dominic, Alpha of Crescent Mystery pack is now the alpha of alphas in the north region. He had to fight his way through a lot to get to that position. And truth to be told, no one had any objection about it. All the packs accepted him wholeheartedly as their leader because no one else could lead them the way he would do.

We stop at a street vendor that sells pizza, wings, and hoagies. “So, what are we having?” Alpha Cayden asks me. “Uh…” I look at the prices and see that they are all higher than I’d expect to pay. Must be city prices. “Pizza?” “What kind?” I open my mouth to say cheese, but Alpha Cayden interrupts me. “Nevermind, we’ll get several,” he says before ordering a cheese, a veggie, and a meat lover’s pizza. Then he adds wings and two sodas before turning to me.

I put a spoonful of omelette to a palm-sized toasted bread before taking a bite, when the Alpha finally lifted his gaze, from his chocolate-drizzled waffles with a cloud of cold whipped cream atop it. “What?” I continued to chew my food, ignoring the mess and my manners. “Where are your manners?” he asked. I swallowed, “Right where I left them.” My eyes shot right outside, to the western horizon where the towering mountain that contained the entrance to The City Under. The Alpha heaved a deep sigh. “You should call it back then. They are watching us.” And by ‘they’ he means the customers. The family of the more privileged Betas, Healers, Deltas, Warriors, and so on.

She remained there, perplexed. "It's a sad thing that's happened in my absence." Alpha Ryan began during the meeting, "As terrible as this is, this means there's someone ratting the pack out and until we find out who it is and give them the punishment that they deserve, we will not be living in unison. The bartender delivered us each a pint of beer. “I’ve seen you in here before,” Quinn said after we each took a drink. “You’re always hanging with the Delta team guys. Are you a member of New Dawn?” “No. I’m Alpha of Waning Moon. We just joined New Dawn’s alliance, so I’ve been working with them a lot lately.” “Alpha Ledger,” Quinn said, emphasizing the word Alpha.
