A mind-link crackled in unexpectedly, Beta James’ tone sharp and direct. “Alpha, we’ve traced Moonlight’s energy signature further,” James began without preamble. “All signs point to the Atlantis Hotel, neutral territory.” I stilled, my entire frame rigid with tension. Moonlight. The so-called mysterious healer tied to whispers of unparalleled abilities. Abilities that had always seemed... familiar. “Are you certain?” I pressed, my voice dropping low enough not to carry beyond the mind-link. “Positive,” James affirmed, though there was a brief hesitation. “There’s more... something you should see when you’re ready to focus on this fully.”

Steve asked. Emma shook her head. As luck would have it, the hotel was a a few blocks away. Without say a word as they entered. Steve slid his card to the female receptionist who smiled when he requested for the pent house room. She gave them the key and both Alpha and Healer took the elevator to the highest floors. "Is it safe here?" Emma asked. "It's okay, Emma, they have a reputation for their impeccable security," Steve replied. "Wow," Emma whispered in disbelief and wonder. Not only was the room large but it had a mixture of Greek and Egyptian design with a swimming pool or bathroom a few feet away from the bed.

"The only abomination tonight was the cowardice of a weak Alpha." The car began to slow, pulling off the highway and navigating the city streets. They were heading downtown, toward the skyline that pierced the rainy night. "We are arriving," Lucas announced from the front. The limousine pulled up to the curb of The Obsidian, a hotel that was more legend than lodging. It was a sleek tower of black glass that seemed to absorb the light around it. There was no doorman, no valet stand. Just a massive set of double doors that opened automatically as the car approached.

Alpha Asher tells them, and they bow and wait for us to follow them. “Alpha Mike and his Beta will be here soon. His Luna is pregnant, so she won't attend this time. Mathilda and Sasha will show you to your rooms.” He tells us, and Liam thanks him, before we follow the two Omegas. The Room prepared for us is a very nice room with a walk-in closet and bathroom. The colors are a natural crème on the walls and ash-tree wood on the panels. And furniture, plus the bedcovers, are in a soft blue color.

The Alpha can feel the tether break when someone renounces his pack as he is connected to everyone within his pack. The humans here didn’t even notice me, that’s because this is a tourist town so people come and go all the time. With what cash I do have, I book a room at a hotel called Sunny Skies Inn. For the little bit of money I spent, this is not too bad. Queen size bed, a tub and a stand-up shower, balcony, and a pool. Downstairs they have a restaurant which I'll probably eat at tonight if the cost is low enough. I have to make my money stretch. Laying down, I fall asleep within an hour.

Mykel, he had been my rock, just as I was his when he lost his family. After checking the downstairs was in order, I headed upstairs to inspect the guest rooms. We were due to have six Alphas stay the night, their packs being too far away to travel back and forth in one day. He smiles at me briefly before placing the glasses on the table and then popping the cork “Alpha, may I?” He asks before handing Alexander the cork to smell the fragrance. Nodding, Alexander smiles and then states happily, “That will be fine.” Before the waiter pours exactly a half a glass for each of us. Bowing, he smiles and then says softly with a twinkle in his eyes, “By the way, I am Robert, but everyone calls me Bob.”

I calmed myself down and waited for her to continue. "Alpha has a hotel on neutral land. Nobody knows it is his, he owns it under a different name. It's just a few blocks East." She pointed in the direction we needed to go. "The Alpha is already there. He has a room under the name Georgian. Kyle said to go there and that the front desk already knows that we are coming.
