It was his eyes I caught first, and a long string traveling the distance from where I stood, made it impossible to look away. My heart fluttered lightly as I slightly raised my hand to my stomach. I did not have this connection with Alexandra, who was even announced as my mate. What did this mean? This man right here was my mate. The moon goddess had given me another chance at last.

Alice paid no heed to his facial expression and kept smiling at him but the smile was brushed off her face the moment she saw the look of disgust and anger the man was giving her. All her fantasies about her mate having lots of fun her crumpled down before it started. Just as she was on the brink of tears, she thought of another ray of hope which was her mate wasn't a werewolf so he didn't realize that she was his mate.
