Chapter 7 Cassandra Lei’s POV I know I am smiling like crazy right now while reading Trevor’s text. I am having dinner with him later. “Hey Lei, would you like to join us for lunch?” I lifted my gaze from my phone to the girl who was standing in front of my desk table. Damn! I forgot her name, who is she again? Ammmmm oh I remember She’s Amanda. She’s wearing glasses like me. She’s kind of pretty. “Oh, hi there, sure! Where are we having lunch?”

She explains. I honestly didn’t give the camera a second thought after I realized that I forgot it at the barn. I was worried about getting Gabe to the packhouse and then I was busy trying to take care of him while he recuperated. “I also hear that you helped my little girl too.” She beamed at me. Then she grabbed my hand to examine my palm. How did she know? “It’s alright Hannah, you can trust Christine”, Gabe tells me seeing that I am anxious about this conversation. Christine goes on to explain that she works as a researcher for a nonprofit that was established by a coalition of packs in the area.

Well, she better get used to it and stop hurting herself over a man who doesn’t care about her. Carmela was made for him, created by the goddess and marked for the sole purpose of being his mate, how could she stand in the way of that? “Soda for you, vodka for me,” Amanda hands Leila a drink. “Hey! Not fair, you should be drinking soda too, showing your support for your godchild,” Leila replies. “You know what? You’re right, I shouldn’t drink this,” Amanda replies, chugging her glass anyway and Leila slaps the side of her arm, chuckling.

Celeste heard someone say as she followed Amanda and Mira to the building next to the arena. Amanda had to stop transferring images to Celeste because it required a large amount of her magic energy. She didn't want to exhaust her energy for the day, and Celeste respected that. "Damn, everyone got their mate around them lately," the same guy said but with annoyance. "He didn't have a mate?" Celeste nudged Amanda. "Liam got one, but she's studying abroad for the rest of the year. So, he's a little grumpy." "You got the unicorn pillow, though," Brandon said.

She asked innocently. "Are you Leah Watson?" the leader of the group asked, and Amanda stood straight with her hands crossed over her chest as she gave him a once-over. "And who might you be? Why are you looking for Leah Watson?" she asked sceptically as she remained in a protective stance. "I'm DiCarlo; I have a message from Miss Leah, which isn't you," DiCarlo pointed out as his eyes met Leah's.

Amanda thought and smiled in joy, as she collected the other documents and looked at them. She asked them what they wanted to drink and asked a very subdued maid to bring it in. Amanda began questioning Selena about the palace and Selena answered her, giving her locations, secret servant paths and other information that Melissa could no supply. Amanda was feeling very excited and ordered for more drinks, she knew that she had all she needed to finally put an end to the council, or she could continuously blackmail them and push them to give her funds. All these thoughts went through her mind as she sipped her iced whisky and smiled at the both of them

As Ethan continued to sing, Amanda closed her eyes, allowing the soothing words and melody to wash over her. She felt a renewed sense of faith, knowing that no matter what obstacles they faced, they would navigate them together, drawing inspiration from the strength of nature and the power of their love. ****************** The afternoon sun cast a warm glow through the windows of Amanda's luxurious office, filling the space with a comforting ambiance. The room exuded an air of success and sophistication, reflecting Amanda's position as the accomplished Managing Director of the billion-dollar agro company.

I had to even stop at the side of the woods, stay and stare at the place where I got banished from. The woods where Damon rejected me. Where Cassandra smiled, my world was falling apart. My hands shook as I adjusted the slings. Leo stirred slightly and made a tiny growl and I was glad, muttering those words into his ears. “Don’t worry. You will become an Alpha like your father.” His sound was tiny, but it had real Alpha power. Laman did the same a second later. Their voices were tightening my chest with love and fear. I took a deep breath and stepped out of the woods.

“I know who you are............... Racheal.” Racheal’s eyes flickered. “Amanda, stop this nonsense. Why are you calling me Racheal?” “Because that’s who you are,” Amanda pressed, a cruel smile tugging at her lips. “You’re my cousin. Louis’s daughter.” For a split second, Racheal froze. Amanda leaned forward, savoring the shock on her face. But Racheal quickly masked it, her calmness unsettling.

Amanda,a twenty four years old woman with a height of about one hundred and sixty two centimeters, a left side entrenched dimple,an intoxicating smile and a set of white teeth that complemented her beauty. She was putting on a white inner sleeve shirt under her black branded suit and a black suit skirt. She had a designer watch strapped around her frail wrist. Her hair was neatly braided to french plaits and held in place by a red flowered ribbon. She smelled of cherry fragranced perfume. Leo looked up from his desk into her smiley face. Amanda was the backbone he had that made office work easier and less stressful for him. “Good morning Amanda”Leo said half-smiling.
